If a tree falls over in someones yard, does it ruin the house?
Depends on the tree and the house, right?
On a serious note, I have no idea where my life is headed.
We are all headed for the grave, right? It's just what happens in between that is uncertain, for everyone. If one is scared for the unknown, there should be various ways to control the variables.

It's interesting in the kinds of Youtube videos that pop up and are allowed when one does a search on "Race and IQ."

"She graduated from high school as valedictorian when she was only 14 years old."

"In 2005, she earned her associate degree and appeared on the National Dean's List. In the fall of 2006, she began her senior year at the University of California, Los Angeles, from which she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in June 2007, again appearing on the Dean's List."

8 out of 10 people in mbti are mistyped.
i guess i should be glad, that it's so painfully obvious on youtube.
one day the messiah will return and sort it all out.

I honestly find it interesting in that one INTP female from Youtube likes “evolution” and “psychology (she says that in approximately 2 minutes and 47 seconds).” Perhaps one can connect the dots and get psychological evolution or evolutionary psychology.

Here’s the full Youtube video:

Repetitive african names thread is elsewhere.

How does gibberish differ between cultures? Greeks said the uncivilized went "bar bar", and called them barbarians. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barbarian#Etymology

Should we change the word to derpderpians?

Is duh a human universal?

repetitive african names need not heed the confines of one single thread.

i think we are way beyond simply attaching the suffix "-ians" to denote a character trait or category. my suggestion is to call them derpderpenings or such. this is also dehumanizing in a subtle and deceptively dignifying way, which surely will fool them into embracing the term. otherwise you are right.

No, no, no, and no! Dr. Walter Bishop has Ti over Ne. Dr. Walternate from the alternate universe has Ne over Ti. Dr. Walter is more analogous to an “addition-type” whereas Dr. Walternate is more of a “subtraction-type.” Dr. Walter Bishop is always adding more and more to his knowledge base.

"If we took away women's right to vote, we'd never have to worry about another Democrat president. It's kind of a pipe dream, it's a personal fantasy of mine, but I don't think it's going to happen. And it is a good way of making the point that women are voting so stupidly, at least single women." --Ann Coulter
We should get some kind of collective vote to forcibly remove certain people from our personal demographics. You know, to strengthen the herd. Anyway, I think she'd be a top candidate for this program.

Should we take ourselves seriously and give in to our own emptiness or should we laugh at ourselves with a complete lack of stability that only has the power to cover up our emptiness?

Here’s another thing I just randomly thought of illustrating the non-intelligence of the mass populace. If one understands that N-types constitute the minority, why do some people find it hard for there to be an N-type person in a family where the parents, siblings, and all other relatives are S-types? In other words, having an N-type parent is not a requirement to actually be an N-type.

In fact, it actually makes more mathematical and logical sense for that to be the case. Why do you think Einstein’s parents thought he was retarded? Why do you think some parent’s who have INTP kids take them to see a psychiatrist and ask them to fix their child (I recall this from watching a Youtube video on INTPs from Personality Hacker)?

It’s amazing that I am the only one that is able to compute this kind of “math” in my brain. Ha. Ha.

it's good coming across a female T type person. good to shake the habit of reductionist analysis.

ESTP seems to not be extremely uncommon. i think it's the most common T type in women, alongside ISTJ.

overall my impression has been that about 80 % of women are feelers, and about 30 % of men.

"No one has the ability to understand our path until it is over, and if you can sustain your interest in what you are doing in your later years, you are very lucky. Many people get tired, indifferent, and defensive, and lose their capacity for astonishment…Daily life astonishes me. I’m looking through the door here, at the little table-and-chairs that was painted a light green and yellow, and there’s a plant on the table — a little pussy willow — and the combination is totally astonishing… Shadows in the night astonish me. And when you’re working, and you’re putting forms out on paper, every once in a while you’ll be astonished by what happens… The great thing about the work, and particularly work later in your life, is that you can still maintain the sense of possibility that at the end of the day you’ll know something that you didn’t know at the beginning of the day. And I just find that an extraordinary gift." - Milton Glaser

No, I don't think all of awareness is the equivalent to that which is omniscient. For there is the layer in which all of awareness cannot penetrate.

Here is a random referencing:

"As I type this, I’m remembering my life in 2011, when I was in the very early stages of treatment and was still trying to find the right medication combination. Over the span of a couple days, I experienced two “negative” events. One of them just kind of annoyed me; the other one left me completely devastated and convinced I had no future." - February 5, 2015 by INFJ Advice

I have jury duty tomorrow. I shouldn't have been selected as a juror. I heard the judge asking one of the parties twice to confirm that they really wanted me. Idiots kept me anyway (and I thought I couldn't take a hint). I could have easily said "yes, my time working with corrections will affect my ability to be objective", but I couldn't say that because a) it's not true, and b) I work with that judge in other professional projects and I didn't want to look like a moron.

Fuck.

Kinda sounds like me, you know. Enneagram 9>6, INFP. How i would have behaved at work, in the past, if anyone would have given me a job. I can't go with my Ne, because then i would have to go with my Fi first and that would mean that i travel around the world on a motorbike after setting the bureau on fire, but i'm not an enfp like that. And the typical job would require me to act through Te, so i am like an inferior version of ISTJ, except i am not acting out my own personal Si but my copy of the directive of the establishment, so i'm not an independent authority. As an Ne type my attention to detail is selective, so i have Si art hanging on the wall and weeks old trash is emptied out all over the floor. The cats love to play with it. I live through inferior Si routines, eat the same things everyday, do sometimes tweak those routines mindfully, but never allow them to take in more room, they just keep me alive somehow and are supposed to be mostly unconscious, unlike when Si is dominant. So for example i can eat pizza or i can eat ultra healthy, but i will never learn complicated recipes that force me to plan what i shop, etc. I basically eat apples and brown rice and lentils, right now.

Oh wow. I totally erased my post and replaced it to avoid taking up too much space with my random thoughts/complaints. I hoped I had gotten to it in time. Sorry.

okay, no problem. random though thread has random posting patterns.

no not really, but i'm only recognized for "insane" speculations, not for practical contributions. i have tweaked computers, 'pimped' bikes, painted stuff but this is always my own property, not the property of other people. they would not like the changes that i would make and they would hold me accountable according to their judgements and priorities, so i won't contribute a damn thing to their business.

“A subtle thought that is in error may yet give rise to fruitful inquiry that can establish truths of great value.” – Isaac Asimov

“Poetry is nearer to vital truth than history.” – Plato

"I do not know what I may appear to the world, but to myself I seem to have been only like a boy playing on the seashore, and diverting myself in now and then finding a smoother pebble or a prettier shell than ordinary, whilst the great ocean of truth lay all undiscovered before me." - Isaac Newton

t is very hard to say the exact truth, even about your own immediate feelings – much harder than to say something fine about them which is not the exact truth.” - George Elliot

Now that shows the magic of Ni!

My car doesn't like being in 3rd gear. I don't like it either, but it's a pretty difficult one to avoid. Especially since the car's favorite is 4th and mine is 5th. I mean, I skip 3rd sometimes, but I really don't have many genuine opportunities to do so.

- you're playing games with me, brandon. the resignment is my final bid.
- *chuckle, innuendo, puts out cigarette* playing games meaning like what?
- that.
- *clean slate hands, we'll-get-to-that finger, rhetorically concessive face* now: i am the order of the day, i'm the special operational faculty. i'm breaking this shit and you're telling me to blow charges? "games"... we're beyond fucking... *theatrical and slightly threatening arms waving in deliberate frustration* that! *swaggeringly accusational finger points toward opponent, legs digging silent rockabilly with profound cynicism* we're into the overlay and it's the undercurrent. i have been useful. *pose continues and a frown is a wink*
- look you've gotta be honest with me at this point. everybody finds themselves in the backwater sometimes. just making sure.
- fuck sure. my game is honest. *shockingly insignificant object placed on table with a big slam, person leaves dim interior*

i watched serenesam's last youtube. painful.

now look here what i found when clicking around: an MBTI video person who is actually a relatable human being instead of a horrid piece of cancerous broken code trailing off into the void.

“Men love a submissive woman, Damon said simply. Even when they say the don't. There's just something about a beautiful, soft woman looking to them to protect and take care of them that inspires a man to greatness.” - Maya Banks, Sweet Surrender

“It's hard for an educated woman to turn her head off. That's part of the joy of being a submissive. None of the decisions are yours. When you can't refuse anything and can't even move, those voices in your head go silent. All you can do, and all you are permitted to do, is feel.” - Cherise Sinclair, Dark Citadel

“To be completely woman you need a master, and in him a compass for your life. You need a man you can look up to and respect. If you dethrone him it's no wonder that you are discontented, and discontented women are not loved for long.” – Marlene Dietrich
