  • Ooh. Haha well. It's nice to be in the minority and feel different and unique, even if it's a a trivial difference.
Hahaha yeah. A majority on the net but a minority here.

I always wondered, is the login box case sensitive?
In my view, the OP was deliberately worded to get a rise out of people who disagreed with it. "I hate any thought of the strong flourishing." Right in the first sentence a confrontational and emotional tone is established. The trick worked, and it made me angry. I'm just glad I was able to realize it in time. If the post had been phrased differently, and had a less underhanded intent, I may have been more inclined to engage in the discussion with civility instead of vitriol.

The reaction was particularly fierce because of some recent personal realizations. I've come to see certain decisions and past patterns of behavior as "weak" or otherwise pathetic, and I decided to change and aspire to something higher. Seeing something attacking this decision struck a nerve. So in a sense I was arguing with myself as well.

Either way, I wasn't contributing anything worthwhile to the discussion. Your posts were insightful, as they usually are, and I appreciate your patience with my sarcasm.
The same? Positive? Fine? I suppose  You?

Sure, some old faces left, some new ones have appeared, not much has changed though imo.
But everything has to go through a subject. A study without a subject is impossible and meaningless. Metaphysics has to be the equivalent of epidemiology;) for it to make sense.
There's something about your bleak fatalism that I find revivifying and paradoxically uplifting. :^^:
"I'm not sure how this chart is structured but physics gives rise to chemistry which gives rise to biology. In fact, all natural science can be reduced to physics. "

True, and it's a very important fact too. I will put that in my future map of human knowledge.

"Also, epistemology and metaphysics are not the same."

I remember hearing this from a friend of mind and agreeing behind her reasons, but I forget her justifications. Do you mind presenting yours?
What makes it a good film to you?

What is novel is not necessarily unconventional? How so? Isn't "convention" the "usual" and unconvention the "unusual"? Are not novelties necessarily unusual? Do you think the problem is my idea of "convention"?

Yes, Ti(N) types are the only ones capable of critical thought. Ok, not exactly "critical thought", but very critical thought. The movie didn't have "critical thought", the movie had "very critical thought." What kind of movie can you find a discussion regarding the rationales and logic behind what's edible or not? What kind of movie thinks about these kind of things? A critical movie, that's what. Their dialogue is the same kind of stuff as my second paragraph in this post.

Watch it again. And this time in an analytical mode.
-_-" Can you please put at least some justifications? How does it "bleed" SeFi and How are these definitions too reductionist and not useful?

why did you watch it 3 times?
Se and Fi? ...how? It's a package of unconventionality(Ne) and critical thinking(Ti). Did you really watch Pulp Fiction? :/
I can't see an INTP at all in Vincent. I have an ISTP mate, and he and Vincent share the same "stuborn traits".

I know about 2 ESFP's, of which 1 is my brother. And 2 ESTP's of which 1 I've known for years. And I could say with certainty that Jules is neither. I'd say Jules is a smart/intelligent INTP in a Se surrounding, as he just is.. As I sometimes caught myself being when I'm with Se thinkers.

Thanks for your input though it didn't change my analysis
    Your not very openminded then?

But you play with games that have anime artstyles?
not bad i guess. stressful time of year but there have been some bright points lately. you?

a new irc room was started last night in efnet btw #euthanasia (lol clever no?) feeling like home again but it would more if you were there.
Indeed. But I'll probably stay Stalin for a couple of weeks. I'm gonna need an iron hand and will to get through the rest of this month...
What is your plan for the future?

I don't care about whether i like one over the other. security or progress. I care about whether one mindset is more useful in satisfying my core values than the other. Identifying which is the more useful direction is the complicated part.
I'm studying some math as well and also "blundering" on it. "Blundering" in the sense that my grades aren't so well. I think I understand it better than my professor though hah.

You mean conservatives vs. liberals? democrats vs. republicans? It does make sense to 'abstracize' it that way. It IS about security vs. progress.

A middle point? sure. Each is own. Yes? But what if you didn't have any standard to base your decision on how much? on where exactly you should stand in the spectrum? No basis at all. Should you look for a basis? Which is more rational really?
stuck trying to decide between security and activity. what have YOU been up to?
Yeah, it was their intended last album with the original vocalist so it was kind of a tribute/momento.

Were you ever into Hellsing(not Van)? It's a cool series if you're into that sort of stuff.

It's not undead, but my top would be werewolf.
I just realized that the bookmark I had of Helium music manager(and posted in the Tech thread) was from a post you made two years ago.
I think direction is a difficult problem though. But, if you want to see everything then the route seems simple to me: anywhere - as any direction will lead you to something you haven't seen before. If you move you won't see everything, but if you stand still you won't see anything.
I know, I suggested it as an alternative perspective to my view of the problem. I think we come from two very different perspectives though.
I sometimes see dreams as the summary of my life experience, every time I experience something new it finds itself into my dreams when it didn't appear to be there before. Hence, in a lucid dream I can only create so far as I have experiences to manipulate. To me, the way to exercise freedom to its greatest extent is to experience as much as possible. I can't say I live by this (and there are certainly things I don't want to experience), but I can't look on concepts such as 'truth' and 'freedom' in absolute terms when I know there are boundaries to me and I experience them in degrees. I ask, 'how can I be more free?' not 'how can I be free?'
Are you implying that the "personal logic" of a person can never understand reality completely? I know that many folks "squeeze in" reality to fit their perception of it, but does this necessarily mean that there are no folks whose "personal logic" fit with "reality"? You say that "order" is not existing in "reality," but isn't the very idea that it is a "reality", that it is a "thing", make it "ordered?" That is, if we do not use our "personal logic" towards reality, then it simply means that, in order to understand reality, we should not accept reality as a "thing", as a "one"---because that would already imply "impressing one's logic unto reality." --which leads us to the opposite of understanding.
How do you "learn" anything, how can you "understand" anything without acknowledging an "order" in the thing which you are trying to understand?

"Thingness" per se is derived from "order." Without sense, there is only nonsense. And this notion of "balance vs. imbalance", both are forms of order. Assymettry is order.
Hi, nil. Any new ideas you're pondering on lately? I am here because my mind took me to this memory where you told me about RNG in fire emblem, and its implications on chaos and order and a mix of the two which has its own name which i can't remember.
    Share your cool Tech. Tips

I post my tips but yea I don't really have anything I could add to that. That or it's unconscious what I do with my files and folders.
uh well my computer was screwy some time ago and I did a clean install of W7 and had to move everything. I went through a long sorting process, so now everything is pretty much taken care of. Of course I have stuff laying around but I don't have a active sorting system of folders, just folder dumps.

Oh, iTunes I guess I made a smart playlist that combines "no plays" + "recently added" that way when I don't know what to listen to I can just go through some of the stuff I haven't heard. Back when I was really into torrenting I had multiple folders for different purposes(seeding, downloading, self-uploaded etc). Can't think of anything else though, or something idiosyncratic.
It depends on which one. I have said some incredibly stupid things every once in a while... Just joking - feel free to use what you choose.
We Will Rise is the only song I've heard by them, so I couldn't really recommend them. I did enjoy them / it a lot though during that transitional phase from crap / MTV music and early adolescence.
