True that. I meant to say that instead of moving closer to the center on the various axes, I've moved farther away. Has that happened to anyone else here?

I'm sure it happens a lot. People change with time. MBTI only works for the moment in which you are taking the test. Mood, thought, and atmosphere determines many of the answers.

Well, I'm quite sure the tests get less accurate the more you take them. If you know you're an INTP From previous tests odds are you will take the answers fitting the description of an INTP rather than your honest answers. I took three tests the same day thinking it would be more accurate, but it felt like i unconsciously tried to take the INTP answers for the questions towards the end, my results were 100% introverted, 100% intuitive 100% thinking etc., or at least close to 100% when I took the test at personalityinfo.

Yeah, same here. I don't think I'm nearly that polarized. Though, admittedly, over the years, as I've been pushed more and more by others to be what I'm not, I've retreated further into my corner. So, I'm not sure it's completely off base.

I just joined, have read through this particular thread, and have a silly grin on my face, due to the fact that this is the second forum I have ever visited where I have seen no one speak in chat speak, discuss anime, or use all caps in inappropriate settings. The first was a university forum. I am also enjoying the emoticons, particularly this one:

I'm an INTP gal and probably won't post often as I tend to flit about on different forums (I compartmentalize and segment my life into bits and bits) but hope to spend enough time here to get a kick out of my fellow INTPers and learn more about how I can better relate with peeps irl. I do have a hard time committing to any one forum so am on about a dozen (not intp related that would be stifling). I will check in when I can and hopefully won't cause trouble - most people think I'm nice

"Who am I?" This is the question that brought me here. Apparently I align well with the INTP designation.

I am hoping to learn more about myself through my interactions with other INTP individuals. I put the "I" in introversion so please forgive my inadequate communicative skills. The expressivity I have already observed here is enviable. I am chronically depressed though so feelings of failure and inadequacy never truly abate.

My sense of self has been muddled over the years so I hope to learn a lot. I am very pleased to have chanced upon this forum.
