What have you guys heard about 5G? Korea's going to be rolling out their
driverless taxis in 2021. There's the whole spat with the US vs China too, like who'll get their 5G networks up the fastest... what do you guys know about it so far?
it uses frequencies used by the military
It is going to be used to handle what CIA chief general petreus called 'the internet of things'
The IOT is going to be a 'smart' grid where all electrical appliances are going to be connected to 'the cloud'. That will include the autonomous vehicles you mention
All data from the devices will feed back to the people controlling the tech. Everything down to your toothbrush will be smart and will send back data about how you brush your teeth and about how much energy you are using
5G is to allow all this data to be gathered. The data will all be managed by artificial intelligence
The 5G antennas being erected on street lamps are not encrypted and they can be hacked. 5G is able to send a directed beam of microwaves and can therefore be weaponised and directed at targets. if the chinese want to hack the 5G and use it to microwave the population of another country they could do that
The 5G was tested out at the soeul olympics on wild boar where it was used to zap the boar to keep them away from prohibited areas
It can also create a 3D map of your home so that you can be watched through the walls of your home
