Our trains are packed with seats that can be adapted to face either way. So when the train goes in the other direction, you can face all seats in the right direction, or if you have a group, you can have facing seats. It’s pretty great actually. None of that standing bullshit.Nowadays if you are on public transport and not staring into your phone, you are considered a weirdo. So that's what I'm doing. Blending in, adapting.
Anyway, this design lends itself to a fun game of sitting at the front of the carriage and facing everyone and seeing how many people you can make uncomfortable eye contact with.
Also, standing at the doors of the elevator and facing everyone and making eye contact is a fun game too. Bonus points for starting a conversation.
