Im going to be completely honest, I'm an ENFP and I love to game! (On certain things, Im rather suck-ish at a lot :/ but I still try!)

I try almost any game that anyone shows me, and I love games like The Sims, Omgpop, Supermokey Ball, SOME shooting games (even if I'm not so great at them, then I rage quit. :( ) and I USED TO play Runescape (oh goodnesss.).

So, I was wondering, what kind of games do you guys play?(:

Thanks for reading! <3

I love games. I'm fairly decent at shooters and such but they never hold my interest for too long. So I usually play more story-driven RPG type games. Also strategy games and games with lots of puzzles.

I'm also an ENFP and I LOVE --> ∞ gaming!

My favourites are usually those that are creative. Ico, Shadow of the Colossus, Katamari, Ecco, God of War, Fahrenheit, Okami, Ace Atturney, Professor Layton, Blast Corps.

But also more common themed games like Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2, Zelda, Super Mario, Final Fantasy, Perfect Dark, Command & Conquer, Jak & Daxter etc

By genre, FPSs and MMORPGs(formerly). Though I haven't played lately because of classes.

I USED TO play Runescape (oh goodnesss.).
Yes, I'm formerly a long time player. I just returned for the holiday, but seem to be staying longer than I planned.

Shadow of the Colossus

I only have the demo but I played it many times so it definitely seems like a great game.

Eagerly waiting for Diablo 3, Half Life 3, and Guild Wars 2. Thinking about buying Dark Souls with a friend for his PS3.

I've been playing a lot of Minecraft lately because my internet sucks, but when I had a better connection I was playing a lot of Team Fortress 2, CoD, and League of Legends.

I'm a junkie for competition, so anything with a hardcore multiplayer scene is attractive to me... Shooters, RPGs, RTS, fighters, anything that allows me to kick ass and crush my competition in new, fun, and interesting ways. :D

(Also Zelda. I'll always have a soft spot for Zelda. XP)

Minecraft, of course. Also RPGs and some shooters, even though I suck badly at shooters. I play them because they are pretty much the only single console multiplayer games (aside from fighting and racing games, which I am equally horrible at). And Zelda. My favorite being Wind Waker.

RPG's and strategy games. I'm currently revisiting my childhood and playing through the Golden Sun series again. It's so majestic!

INTP.

Favorite: Real-time strategy. Age of Empires, Sim City, RollerCoaster.

Like: FPS and Race games with friends or when stressed. Unreal Tournament, Battlefield, Counter Strike

Sort of like: RPG/Adventure but lately I haven't had patience to play it. Free play mode is an awesome bonus in this kind of game.

All sorts of games. The only genre I really shy away from is RTS. Multitasking and quick decision-making aren't exactly my strong points. I enjoy watching them, though.

Also, I prefer team-based multiplayer to 1v1 or free-for-all.

Super Monkey Ball? I had almost completely forgotten about that one:) I remember quite a few frustrating moments finishing that game, but it was all good fun.

hmm.. a few games I've enjoyed the last few years, some of which I've played almost religiously, would have to be super meat boy, fallout 3 and new vegas, super street fighter IV, dark souls and halo reach.

I tend to prefer rpg's but I try to avoid them almost in the same way as an x-heroin addict try to avoid the needle.

Haha, that describes me exactly. :P I'm an ex-Runescaper as well, but I quit like 5 years ago so I expect my character is massively out of date. ;) WoW consumed my college (high school) days, after that I promised I'd never touch an MMO again. :P

I don't own it but Katamari is my favourite listed so far, I think. :D Rolling up the universe is therapeutic..

I mostly play on my old school SNES and PS1 emulators: Zelda, Donkey Kong Country(s), Final Fantasy to IX, Earthbound, etc. Also Civilisation IV sometimes.

SRPG's(Valkyria Chronicles, Fire Emblem, FFT, Disgaea, Phantom Brave etc.) Gundam Games. RTS. DA: Origins. I also used to play a lot of jrpg's way back(golden sun, xenogears, suikoden, brave fencer, megaman legends etc). some CRPG's too.

Overall, I don't really play as much as I use to. Once a month. Things started looking too repetitive.

Css, cod (1,4,mw2), mohaa(spearhead/brkthru), tdu, fallout (3, nv), Blades of steel. I was once an 8 hour a day mohaa player, played in a few tdm ladders rifles only. I lost 40 lbs then, i was overweight.

Huge shoutouts to freespace series and freelancer. I truly grew up on freespace, if anyone ever played online you will know my name and the team i played on.

Mostly strategy (real time and turn based) and RPGs.

I'm partial to open world games, such as the Elder Scrolls or Mount and Blade.

I don't really like multiplayer FPSs, but I do like single player (Deus Ex, Bioshock, etc.) and occasionally coop.

Don't really do MMOs, either.

I play FPS: COD All, Halo, very little Battlefield, and some one player FPS

Platformers: Jak and Daxter series, Assassin's Creed, Crash Bandicoot.

And of course RPG's: Final Fantasy All (FFX is #1 followed by 12 and FFT) Kingdom hearts series.

I do not play mmos or much of anything else, sports games get way too boring way too fast.

I mainly play FPS, with emphasis on zombie shooters. I love the Left 4 Dead series.

I really shy away from RTS, mainly because other players laugh at me when they notice my strategy of either not attacking at all leading to my inevitable defeat (albeit after slaughtering countless units while defending), or not playing unit rock paper scissors and sending a mass of a single unit type at my opponent...

I like FPS. All the other games take too much time. I just like shooting around and making up strategies quickly, and trying to win the game.

I play Modern Warfare 3 and Battlefield 3 at the moment. I used to play RPGs when I was younger, but they just take way too much time. They bore me nowadays. Especially Runescape just becomes wasting your life clicking on a tree after a while. Feels bad.

I'd say I have become quite passionate about video games since leaving high school.

It's probably easier to list the genres of games I don't like, rather than the other way.
I like FPS/Action/HacknSlash, RPGs, Horror, Strategy, Adventure, Platformer and Indie games.

I enjoy most things from Valve and Bioware and I've been a long time fan of Silent Hill and Unreal Tournament.

I used to be a fan of Sims/Sims2 but I have a grudge against EA now, that franchise is dead to me.

Well my very first computer game was, "Nibbles" on MS-DOS. What fun... lol

My most favourite and inspirational game of all time is, "The Neverhood".

Followed by, "Portal" and "Portal 2".

I've just last weekend beta tested Star Wars: The Old Republic.

I'm really interested in SWTOR and I'm scheduled for another test soon.

Other than that, I've played:

- Battlefield 2, 3 (don't really care for BF3 (yet?))
- World of Warcraft
- Half-Life, Half-Life 2
- Star Wars: The Phantom Menace
- Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy
- Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Jedi Outcast
- Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II
- Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Dark Forces

...Continued (you get the point)

- Microsoft: Flight Simulator X
- H.A.W.X.
- Dirt 3
- Priston Tale
- Habbo Hotel (when it wasn't ruined by its horrible updates)

...and so on, to give a general idea. And I DO like to play RPGs!

HOWEVER - I don't care for consoles (dated hardware). I'm a PC Gamer.

I either like games for the story/atmosphere or the gameplay, but the best ones excel at both. Mass Effect, MGS4, Uncharted, etc.

Also I miss the days of MUDs/text-based games. You could just do so much more with a keyboard and using actual language as commands. They really need to hybridize that concept with modern graphical games. I think Scribblenauts kind of did that, although I haven't played it.

Tomb Raider Legend

This is a grossly under-rated game; it would have to go on my (some length) list of all time favorites. The puzzles aren't very complex, and the combat is pretty simple, easy and arcade-ish, but overall it doesn't matter, because the game is just good, classic fun. It's really the pinnacle of its genre and era.

New game in 2012 too. No clue if it'll be any good:

Canada... no more.
Favorite: Real-time strategy. Age of Empires, Sim City, RollerCoaster.
Age of Empires 2 was the first game I ever played, and in my mind still holds up against other RTS'. It is also my favorite game of all time. :)

Games I usually play: Age of Empires 2 (Above), Minecraft, Space Station 13, Skyrim (Well, any TES game), Dwarf Fortress, and Cataclysm (Roguelike).

Genres: Roguelikes, RTS, some FPS, and RPG.

My favorite game would probably be a very intricate, Physics Simulation/RTS.
I am planning to program this, actually. :)

I'm a single-player gamer (mostly). And I'm kinda picky about FPS games. Well, I have lots of favorites:

-Age of Mythology (old but cool)
-Bioshock 1&2 (why did those people ruin such a nice place :X)
-C&C (played only one part, but it was worth it)
-Commandos 2
-God of War (totally frustrated in one place)
-Half-Life series
-Legacy of Kain: Defiance (one of the best - I really felt involved)
-Mirror's Edge (love the puritanism)
-Portal 1&2
-SimCity 4
-Team Fortress 2
-the Sims series (I loved to torture everyone in the sims 1 :X, plus I made some really nice apartments)
-Tomb Raider (Legend and later editions)
-XIII (comics graphics)

I think that's all

I also used to play LOTRO, but I'm not into being a superhero poser.

I absolutely love old style RPGs with fantasy themes.
My most favorite games of this genre are the Aveyond series (all of them - there are currently three games and the third one is divided in four chapters) from Amaranthia. From the first time I got to know them I've been enchanted by their stories, characters, music, the ambience in general.

I'm pretty old-school in that when I'm waiting for something to download or whatever my go-to is Scrabble or a crossword puzzle. I used to play Tiger Woods 2012 just to relax when I still had an XBOX 360. LIMBO was a cool puzzle game on that platform, if a little pricey and somewhat short.

I made a recent thread concerning the games I played, see post looking for competition. Generally though I am all about pvp games. I have played many of the games mentioned in this topic but these days my only interests are in strategy based player vs player settings, like chess.com on iphone or scramble with friends.

Also I used to be a hardcore wow guy for a couple years but since my daughters have been born I have moderated my time to a few hours a week to get my fix. First and last mmorpg..maybe lol. I love the fantasy setting and RPG playstyle. Even in virtual worlds I strive to improve myself.

I mostly play TPS (like Wesnoth or HoMM), tactical FPS and RPGs (mostly Roguelikes). If VNs can count as games, those too. And some addicting simulation crackers: Powdertoy, Minecraft... Oh, and stealth games, although there's a lack of particularly good ones.

RTS is the genre I attempt to play, but always find that it doesn't suit me.
