Hallo everybody
So I was fed up with faggoty windows and my friend told me to do linux because it is totally leet and everything is all customizable and I make my own operating system and whatnot... So far, I spent 45 hours reading about partitioning and saving the shit I wanted to save from windows and hunting for what distribution I wanted... It was all so confusing at first, but, I finally got this user friendly deal called UBUNTU ( sounds african, I know ). After my "family" computer was stubborn and burnded a WICKED fast image in like 50 seconds and spit out a 'coaster' I found out how to slow it down and I went to 4 speed and everything worked out good and all that...
Aight so.
Before I axe my question, anyone really in the know is probably going to ask for my syzdim info like size and hardwarez...
it issss HP pavillion, 4 cores + 4 rams + Nvidia 9600 card annnd 600 (ish) GB - linux calles my partitions "SDA" not "HDA"
If you can't guess - I got it from future shop all set up with this SEXY ass screen for like 1000 bucks. the main reason I say all this is because I understand "sda" is "different" and I don't know how it affects my question, if at all.

SO here it is - EVERYTHING LOOKS HUGE - and when I go to enable the driver it wanted me to enable for my card, it says that "/var/cache/apt/archives/lock" is gay
and
when I go look at said "lock" he IS gay. and by gay I mean the logo is a peice of paper and there is what I've identified as an "unreadable" icon next to it.
this is what the properties say: Type: unknown (application/octet-stream)

and as a side quest I want to know
Can you get a console that is like a game's console, binded to ~
and can I make up my own commands and what they do???

~ address is (type intertube location)
~ supfags = msn
~ tunes = music
~ plus loud = vol up

~ q = closes window. NOW
... you get the point - is it possible???
