I'm making a Pokémon fan game. What would you like to see?

Hey guys! As the title suggests, I'm working on a Pokémon fan game. This Pokémon fan game primarily focuses on the concept of Pokémon being able to fuse, and also being able to fuse with a trainer. This isn't like your average Pokémon Fusion fan game, either. The Pokémon don't come fused, you fuse them in battle, similar to Mega Evolution. Anyways, with that said, this fan game is gonna shake things up a bit (i.e: Houses are now proportional to the player, more than 2 rooms in a house, ect.)! So I was wondering what kind of things you would like to see in this. Some design ideas for Pokémon Fusions would be appreciated, too (Only fully evolved Pokémon can fuse, by the way). With that said, give me your best ideas! :D

If you're going to change the lore so much why not make it an original IP?

Digimon is basically Pokemon with a virtual reality twist and both are derived from the Shinto mythology of yōkai.

Also are you a coder, an artist or one of those special people who can do both?

INTP proclaims they’re making a video game on an Internet forum with no follow up posts for a year and a half. Pretty sure (s)he’s given up on the pet project by now...

I'm one of the few that can do both. And now that you mention it, maybe it would make for a good original IP. Who knows?

Pretty much. As much as I would have loved to continue it, my craptop can barely run anything.

HA HAAA! SUCK IT HAPPY!
(I'm sorry I respect you, I do, I just couldn't pass up an opportunity that good)

Not to worry if it's turn based you can pretty much write the pseudo-code in a notebook or even design it to be a tabletop game, if you do that I recommend using lots of roll tables, I fucking love roll tables. Especially big tables, I like big tables and I cannot lie, you other fuckers cannot deny, when you roll two dice and the number's nice but it makes you change your race you got stung, but roleplaying it is fun.

Bah procrastination isn't the same as giving up, if you were an INTP you would know that!

Mainly though it was the fact that he replied at all.

Well if you make it 2d you can do it even on a craptop.

I actually want a simple game project to work on now that I have amassed sufficient skills

Well create a Pokémon game where you could still have that retro experience rather than new high pixel and graphic intensive. Although it might have already been thrown into the abandoned project list

Hey guys! As the title suggests, I'm working on a game for Pokémon fans. This Pokémon fan game is mainly focused on the concept of mergeable and also mergeable Pokémon with trainers. This also doesn't look like the Pokémon Fusion fan game at getmodnow. Pokémon don't merge, you merge them in battle, similar to Mega Evolution. Either way, with that said, this fan game shakes things up a bit (ie: Houses are now proportional to the player, more than 2 rooms in a house, etc. )! So I was wondering what kind of things you want to see in this. Some design ideas for Pokémon Fusions would also be appreciated (By the way, only fully evolved Pokémon can merge). Your Pokémon fan game sounds like a lot of fun, and I'd be happy to share some ideas with you.
In terms of design ideas for Pokémon fusion, one approach might be to focus on creating fusions that complement each other's strengths and weaknesses. For example, a combination of water-type and grass-type Pokémon can create a hybrid that is strong against both fire- and earth-type.
Another idea might be to explore a fusion between different Pokémon regions. For example, combining Pikachu with Piplup can create a unique electric water that is not present in the original games. In terms of gameplay features, it would be interesting to have a system where players can customize their own trainers and merge with Pokémon to create unique fighting styles. This may involve choosing different abilities and move sets for both the trainer and their fused Pokémon, allowing for a high degree of customization and strategy. Overall, there are many possibilities for a Pokémon fan game focused on fusion, and I'm sure your creativity and innovation will provide a unique and exciting gameplay experience for you. Pokémon fans. Good luck with your development!

Something like Pokemon Snap or a fishing game could be a nice chill experience.

Or what about something set in the Pokemon universe that has basically nothing to do with Pokemon, like a restaurant management sim or a dating sim or a farming sim, there's a certain appeal to a slice-of-life experience in a fantasy setting.

I don't know Pokeman really, but what about Pokeman vs Hello Kitty or Gumby and Pokey?
Maybe a car race or race to the moon.
