Creativity is a gift given to some. Most INTP's I know are more art critic than Artist. Trying to understand WHY an artist is not a critic is incomprehensible to the critic.

I was separating from my wife and this song was perfect. Beautiful sadness. I still enjoy it now and then. Never thought of it as an intp thing. Huh.
We're happily reunited, btw.
I think the most important thing an INTP can do before being unleashed upon the world is grow in their appreciation of the other traits. When an INTP explores feelings and emotions (and feeling/emotional people) it seems to me an incredible feast.
I think the INTP has an incredible talent...
Business Major/ IT minor
Sold PC hardware and software, systems consultant, then systems administrator while that was still interesting. But I did it for the pay. I never really enjoyed it.

Seems like a lot of young (<30) people on the forums.
I can relate a lot to some of the sentiments presented. I think it is a mistake to imagine that INTP's, as a rule, are depressed or lost for meaning in life. I do think that INTP's are more likely to strive for some framework of meaning...
I think having an MBTI type is a start to understanding where your areas for growth potential lay. A strict Thinker has more potential for growth in feeling than in thinking, for example. So why not explore that? Over the past 20 yrs, I test out XNXP as often as I test INTP. But that's because I...
Well, I'm sure every person runs it differently. There are schools / programs that standardize formats etc.
For me, it really depends on the group and how deep they're willing to go. Some people go into it with very superficial expectations, and would be intimidated if people started poking...
