i hear this a lot too. but mostly "you should have more confidence in yourself. you're really smart!". i just don't want it to take me to the place where i feel most confident, which like you... can be arrogant at times. also, people and their lack of common sense/increase of stupidity...

i've met a few INTPs (one who i dated), who were self-absorbed and rational egoists (almost narcissistic ad nauseam). i'm not sure if it's a generalized theory but both worshiped Ayn Rand. :P perhaps this was false confidence. we're hard to read at times. i guess i was interested in seeing...

i did... wanted to refrain from giving the wrong impressions as per ^ data is my favourite character as well. though picard all frowny cracks me up :D

i used to cry a lot but now any emotional reaction to life seems to come out in my photography (or music). i've somewhat cut myself off from any influences though (news, television, media in general). it helped.

i sound a lot angrier when speaking japanese, apparently. but personality doesn't change.

i don't relate to anyone, family or otherwise. i can only manage to dictate what's best for certain situations (when i'm asked my opinion). i grew up without parent(s), and with childhood abuse as well. my bio mom and i occasionally talk now, but it's not a mother-child relationship nor will it...
