What have you guys heard about 5G? Korea's going to be rolling out their driverless taxis in 2021. There's the whole spat with the US vs China too, like who'll get their 5G networks up the fastest... what do you guys know about it so far?

I'm wondering about the health detriments of the proximity and energy density of EM transceivers becoming ubiquitous.

The long term effects of microwave, radio/radar, millimeter em, radiation heating are largely unexplored. Media lobbies don't care about polluting cities with energy and invisible noise.

It's oft mentioned that phones shouldn't ideally be kept in pockets (there's I think an hourly limit to how long a phone can safely be held close to the head), now there are wifi and car transceivers, larger towers every square kilometer, ambient devices included in every piece of networked hardware, motion input experiments plan to use radar waves for device control etc.

People buy infrared wall sections for heating, in a couple of years those same wall sections could use radar for VR tracking/utility, plus wifi, people might start wearing tinfoil for real in addition to gas masks in China lol.

To put things in perspective the sun is an exposed fusion reactor, that warmth you feel is ionizing ultraviolet radiation which could readily kill you in about a week if you were fully exposed to it for 24 hours a day.

Even if radiowaves are potentially dangerous, and there's really very little reason to think they are, compared to being in the sun for a few hours the risk is trivial.

You heard about that self driving car that sensed someone in front of it but decided to run her over anyway?

I haven't, what model was it and where can I get one?

Also unless the car is actually artificially intelligent it didn't maliciously decide to run her over, there was a fault somewhere in it's hardware/software or circumstances were such that a fault was forced. Nobody claims self driving cars a flawless (or if they do they don't know what they're talking about) and they don't need to be flawless they just need to be safer than human drivers, need I bring up statistics on the number of fatalities on UK roads in the past twelve months?

Like yeah nigger, I do know that cars aren't alive despite my lack of intellect, made obvious by my use of the word shit

there's actually a fair amount of science showing that they are dangerous for example all the studies shwon here:

and this one:

Nerve cell damage in mammalian brain after exposure to microwaves from GSM mobile phones.
Leif G Salford, Arne E Brun, Jacob L Eberhardt, Lars Malmgren, and Bertil R R Persson

Abstract

The possible risks of radio-frequency electromagnetic fields for the human body is a growing concern for our society. We have previously shown that weak pulsed microwaves give rise to a significant leakage of albumin through the blood-brain barrier. In this study we investigated whether a pathologic leakage across the blood-brain barrier might be combined with damage to the neurons. Three groups each of eight rats were exposed for 2 hr to Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM) mobile phone electromagnetic fields of different strengths. We found highly significant (p< 0.002) evidence for neuronal damage in the cortex, hippocampus, and basal ganglia in the brains of exposed rats.

it uses frequencies used by the military

It is going to be used to handle what CIA chief general petreus called 'the internet of things'

The IOT is going to be a 'smart' grid where all electrical appliances are going to be connected to 'the cloud'. That will include the autonomous vehicles you mention

All data from the devices will feed back to the people controlling the tech. Everything down to your toothbrush will be smart and will send back data about how you brush your teeth and about how much energy you are using

5G is to allow all this data to be gathered. The data will all be managed by artificial intelligence

The 5G antennas being erected on street lamps are not encrypted and they can be hacked. 5G is able to send a directed beam of microwaves and can therefore be weaponised and directed at targets. if the chinese want to hack the 5G and use it to microwave the population of another country they could do that

The 5G was tested out at the soeul olympics on wild boar where it was used to zap the boar to keep them away from prohibited areas

It can also create a 3D map of your home so that you can be watched through the walls of your home

Monitor tooth brushing....
Sounds like what little brain damage we suffer will be made up by defeating gum disease which leads to alzheimers.

That certainly sounds worth talking about. You may as well discuss the effects of 16K TVs.

its exposure to aluminium that causes alzheimers

Where are your studies that prove that 5G will only cause 'a little brain damage'?

The technocracy is not about only monitoring your teeth brushing it is about monitoring every single thing you do from one moment to the next and micro-managing your energy useage and by extension your life

It is predicated on the premise that the problems with the environment are not down to toxins put into the biosphere by big corporations but are in fact down to you breathing CO2 and producing CO2 by using energy that is produced by burning fossil fuels

This premise is then used as the excuse to create a technocracy run by AI that will impose strict controls on your life which will by necessity require you to lose all your rights, freedoms and privacy

It is worth talking about

SMART televisions are already being made which are part of the surveillance apparatus of the smart grid. if you have a smart meter that too is feeding back data to the corporations about your energy useage

It is exactly what experts (not JohnnyLawrence up there^) say it would have been. Use Terminator and Skynet as a reference.

Read all the sources everyone in this thread read if you want to get caught up. I wouldn't rely on any guy in this thread as some sort of guru on this subject.

It's, in essence, a process, and it will be used as an excuse to change the system. It doesn't mean universal basic income. You'll just be charged with what you use similar to bills, turn the water faucet on, and your water bill will be charged by your smart home for whatever you use, whether it be bathtub, kitchen sink, dish washer, or hose in the front yard to wash your smart car. Your electric bill, will be based on your energy usage, your smart TV will monitor what you watch and not just charge your credit for it, but send ads all over the place for advertising. If they finally remove oil or fossil fuels and switch to mainly electric vehicles, you'll be charged for that and what you use. Your internet browsing will start showing you ads. Your refrigerator will monitor what's left and what you eat, if you have kids, will report you to the CPS for not having enough nutritional things to feed them.

It's possible that the artificial intelligence created this (multi)universe and consciousness is a system for experiencing time unfold. They knew about AI back then, I'm just not sure how long lasting it's supposed to be compared to the annals of the human mind. It's just an attempt to manifest it. Yet... It already exists, so is literally "artificial" in that way. People must just be disappointed because they can't understand how anything else will work. It takes years of Zen meditation just to attain Buddha status and be considered "woke". In other words, there's a ton of money in computer science or networking/IT work.

It is worth talking about
It's worth reading about, then talking about it if you feel you can be impressive enough, and then reading a bit more about it, maybe publishing a book or manifesto on it. Besides, I've been on a "save the rainforests" kick for almost millennia now.

Like yeah nigger, I do know that cars aren't alive despite my lack of intellect, made obvious by my use of the word shit
? Watch your language. Racist jokes aren't really tolerated, ones done in bad taste nonetheless. I must have totally missed the context for how that was appropriate.

yes it will report you to the authorities if you are flagged up by its algorithms and yes it will also micromanage your life down to your fridge contents

But universal basic income may well happen along with social credit scores and if everything down to your toothbrush and vibrator is spying on you then both your social credit score and your designated amount of state supplied digital currency will both be subject to change if you do or say anything that the AI doesn't like

so you better get used to keeping your yap shut even in your own home

but hey on the plus side they say you'll be able to download movies faster so that's nice. isn't that nice? Worth it then hey to knock a second or two off download times?

Ultimately it might not be a good idea. Maybe people should fight for a better solution. There's no legislation for forcing it upon people, and it might not have to be done through that. There's an easy way and hard way. In one sense selling out completely comes with an outcome. Traditionally it was that they don't know what's best for the planet, so it can still be saved through ecological plans. I don't think the future is fully planetary migration or resource mining in space or deep ocean.

physical cable works better and doesn't expose people to microwaves

os its not really about what works best for society. What its about is what works best for the elites who want to control society
