Hello, this is my first thread/post on these forums.

I was wondering whether I am an INTP or an INTJ. Whenever I take a myers-briggs personality test, I generally come up with one of the two personalities.

A little bit about me to help you judge:

Age: 16

I enjoy learning. I have a fascination with programming, networking, unix/linux, and security. I also love learning about mathematics and cryptography. Science is fun, but it cant beat the beauty of computers or mathematics. I have an eidetic memory, which helps me in boring subjects such as history and english. I get excellent marks in school: straight A's with at most one B+ in a subject (usually spanish), I am also in all AP/Honors classes.

I feel more comforatable before making big decisions. For example, if I am buying new books I look up different kinds and make a decision based on that. I also hate authority. I dont understand why some poeple should be given more power over me. I have hated authority since I was little and always will. I feel good when I clean my room and get organized. However, I feel most comfortable when my room and life is a little bit messy. I have an almost OCD like hatred of constant patterns. For example, whenever I look at a beehive and see its geometric patterns I go postal. I also do not pay much attention to deadlines. I feel uncomfortable not following them closely but it doesnt affect how I go through the day.

What do I sound like?

If there is a chance that you might be INTP, you are most likely INFJ. Thus is the law.

Don't know if this will help... "Types with a preference for Judging show the world their preferred Judging function (Thinking vs. Feeling). So TJ types tend to appear to the world as logical, and FJ types as empathetic. Judging types prefer to have matters settled. Those types ending in P show the world their preferred Perceiving function (Sensing vs. iNtuition). So SP types tend to appear to the world as concrete and NP types as abstract. Perceiving types prefer to keep decisions open."

INxJ. Fondness of big decisions and hatred of authority say more about J/P than being slightly disorganised or untimely do.

I guess I am an INTJ then.

I know that I am not an INFJ because I have no characteristics befitting the feeling type. I am completely logical and do not care about peoples feelings.

You sound like an INTJ so far, keep talking about yourself if you want further validation...

Here are a few topics to throw into the mix:
How do you see the future of digital media panning out in the next ten years?

Do you need peace and/or quiet to think clearly? Do you have any trouble concentrating with noise or sensations around you?
