Do you wish there was more site traffic?

While I'm not one to declare that quantity is better than quality, the latter can spring from the former. More chances for it, at least. I, for one, wish there was more site traffic, what about the rest of you?

Not that I'm expecting this to be easily changed, mind you.

At least with more traffic you can laugh at the inevitably ensuing mayhem.

I think that as a general rule,
quality drops in proportion to quantity. Dilution.

I think I'd prefer less posts but of higher caliber,
than more mayhem & fluff. Density.

I'd love more good posts, but not at the expense of having to trawl through more jank.

What Auburn said. I've held this view for quite some time, oh yes.

That's not true at all, though. Many small forums are full of crap and many larger forums are very awesome.

Think of the bandwidth costs!

Maybe the perpetual lurkers should actually register/post. I know you're watching. :phear:

Quantity would help. If your post is of quality, just label it as such.:D Then the proper* search engine would seek it out. How do you know if your post is of quality? If you are not sure, then label it as "not sure."

Do others think it of quality?:) That has been tried by a rating system. Doesn't work as conspiracy and fashion and subjectivity defeats it. "You want to rate what you are rating" -- Werner Heisenberg:facepalm:

More activity or interesting posts by the members of the forum would be alright, but I wouldn't like a huge influx of members that are usually encountered on more popular/public forums. It feels like posting in a vacuum, 'why even bother?'..

I get that feeling even looking at some of the related typology community forums, I don't know how anyone sustains interest in those boards.

There is quite a lot of site traffic as it is; I remember there was a time when no new signups were allowed and it was a lot quieter. And there was still activity then despite that.

If you want a quality post, make one.
