Has anyone got the new halo:reach? Just wandering cause I was absolutely addicted to halo 2 but 3 wasn't so great. They say it's quite good.

You should get it then:) I was absolutely addicted to halo 2 as well.. probably the game in the series that I played the most.. I'm still relaying on the chops I acquired during my halo 2 prime days.

What I dislike the most about the new one, even though it's probably just a matter of getting used to, is the melee nerf. Before, let's say melee took 50 points of damage, and you had 30 points left on your shield, it would cause a 20 point damage to your health.. now it wont. In halo reach, if you have 1 point of damage left on your shield, a melee attack will only remove that point, even though it is capable of delivering 50 points damage to your shield, and not remove anything from your health.. So, as long as you have some shield left, the melee attack will only affect the shield no matter how little there is left. It only damages your health when your shield is completely depleted.

Apart from that, great game. The improved forge is awesome and you just gotta love the jetpack:)

I can see exactly how ghat could be incredibly annoying... Anyway is there a good online option for it?

What do you mean by a good online option? If you refer to the online experience, it's like previous halo games. If you mean game selection, it's great. I still miss exclusive swat and sniper only modes though.. but I think that will be available soon.

I had a quick go at it at a friend of mine, and the graphics really annoyed me: I'm not sure if this will make any sense but compared to 2 & 3 they are very perspectivised and a lot of the objects are too in your face, meaning I found it harder to properly analyze and act in situations including killing people, cause I couldn't see properly!?!

hmm.. strange.. Can't say that the graphics annoy me or make it more difficult to perceive my opponents distance and exact location.. so yeah, haven't personally had that issue. It didn't have to do with the TV? was it hd?

I'll admit that I had my skepticism's as well before I played Reach since the last Halo that I was into was Halo:2. But after playing it at my friends house I gotta admit, it's a pretty fun-ass game. And I only played the campaign with him and I got the feel for the fun. I also really like how they integrated all of the perks into the game (Jetpack, Running, Holograms, etc..) it just seemed like a smooth and fluid transition. I wish I still had a 360 after playing this! (well...Fable 3 too, but diff. story)

So yea, if you have an Xbox 360, I'd totally go for Reach. And even though this point has nothing to do with gameplay...I really love the art design that they went with for the guns in Reach, they seem neat :)

Yeh there was nothing wrong with the screen, but if you look at 2 you may see the difference
