Ok.... So how aware are people.. generally, of people who just up and disappear? Do they just go quiet and lurk or do they forget to check in... It seems to me that veterans all of a sudden just up and leave for no apparent reason =[.

Aware... somewhat.

Though I tend to do that quite a bit myself. These past couple of weeks I have been "forum active" (though this time I'm just doing it here).

I predict within the next couple of weeks I'll just up and leave for no apparent reason... then pop back in a few months later. That's just how I operate.

I do the same thing. I suspect it's a combination of busy lives and what I like to call the 'ooh shiny' effect, which many INTPs 'suffer' from. We just get distracted and don't think about it.

As far as other people, I'm only vaguely aware at best, but I also was not very active in the first place.

Anyway, it seems perfectly normal to me and I wouldn't give it a second thought.
