I seem to have a large number of ENTP traits even though I am an INTP?

After reading the http://www.socionics.com/prof/entp.htm profile on ENTPs, I find that I have a large amount of traits that correspond with an ENTP. Probably as much as their INTP profile. Yet that is the only website which has a profile on ENTPs and INTPs in which I correspond with an ENTP more. On every other profile and on all of the other MBTI tests I am more of an INTP but not by much (probably only a couple of questions). I am an INTP only by a minor margin.

This is very confusing because shouldn't the MBTI typing be quite clear. I am only somewhat sure of me being an INTP because I am an introvert... In a lot of aspects I am like an ENTP.

Socionics is a different 'kettle of fish' than MBTI. There's a few threads here that will help explain those distinctions.

Edit: This is one from when I confused the two:

The INTP and ENTP are literally one notch away from each other.

An INTP is Ti first, Ne second, and an ENTP is Ne first Ti second. This style of information processing is extremely similar.

ENTPs begin with exploring possibilities and then they check their Ti for which of them has the most logical strength.

INTPs Begin with a Ti logical model and use Ne to explore it's possibilities.

The only difference is that one process is more important than the other for both types.

Your not the only one LAM, everyone of us is just a hop and a skip away from being an ENTP.

If you don't find yourself relating to any of the MBTI based descriptions of ENTP, but instead more to INTP, then that's probably a better guess. Perhaps you found yourself relating to this one specific description of ENTP because it is not MBTI based but socionics and thus operates on different principles?

Once you get down to the NTP, it's probably easier to just jump over to pure introvert-extravert distinguishing. Might be rather difficult to distinguish, however, since N-types are all more prone to introspection (which, I think, is supposed to be the mark of an introvert).

The people above are right. Listen to them. :)

Socionics is different (although there are similarities), and the profiles apparently don't exactly line up with MBTI. If you find the same is true with MBTI, however, know that the two are so close that it is easy to see similarities in the two profiles. But if you're an introvert, your first letter is automatically I.
