Yo!

I'm a 20-something ENFP from Sweden. How I came to end up here is a long story cause throughout my life I've had the tendency to seek out introverted people based on a sense of a special kind of connection. And when my friend told me that there was a forum full of you, I realized I had found my thing.

Because contrary to what might've been healthier for me, during my youth I led the solitary lifestyle of an introverted person most of the time. Although I did partake in the social rituals throughout my youth that most extroverts go through, most of my time was spent in front of the computer. I found it very hard to fit in from time and time and during my darkest periods I'm pretty sure I didn't have any regular social interactions with people outside my family at all.

So when people say that ENFPs are somewhat of a introverted-extrovert type I can relate to that in some sense. The emptiness that I feel inside is where you have your rich inner lives. Good for you.

Quite the introverted/introspective ENTP here, as well.

Welcome! You get massive amounts of respect...as well as anyone else from Sweden (Jung<3)

INTP rich inner lives? They are dead inside. Doesn't feel a thing. This forum is more like an analytical robot fiesta.

I know a few people both on the forum and IRL that are exactly like this. We could use a few of you ENFP folk.

Welcome. :smiley_emoticons_mr

Thanks everybody! :)

I've always had an interest in computers. I think I like them more than people.

There is hope for everyone to feel inside. Don't give up too soon. We are all empty until we find ourselves. Then we are finally able to connect to others much more easily.

From my experience, this forum is like a big family that continues to grow. We argue with each other, give each other advice, and have fun.

Welcome to the family.

Welcome. Please begin debate immediately; which type is Carl Jung, INTP or INFJ?

Well, the ESFP did leave in a blabbering, horrified hurry. It didn't take the time needed to look beneath the cold, perverted and overly insane, exterior.

Oh, don't worry about that. I'm was way to nihilistic even before I started hanging out with my INTP-friend to be bothered by whatever insights I might get by not being "out there" for a while.

Imagine INTPs were the norm of a society. They were to be everywhere, and were considered as example. Not fitting in would be to deviate from the norm.

What would bother you most in this hypothetical society?

(Or, to paraphrase, what will be hardest to deal with once we take over the world?)

Hmm, the worst aspect would probably be that the natural social hierarchy of E-dominance would be disrupted and just like I'm not so sure that I want to give up the privileges and advantages of being a white European - not implying racism - I don't want to loose the natural advantage, the only one really, of being extroverted. And that is that most other people are E as well, so there's never a real shortage of people to hang out with or talk to if availability, in this hypothetical example, is the main sought-after attribute. However, lately I think I've developed awesome skills to socialize with the not-so-social.

And I think I would like it after getting used to it. Then my main problem would be feeling stupid. But hopefully, a INTP-society would be total cyborg command economy. :borg:

That answer was strangely satisfying. You don't seem to mind one bit about us putting Exxx, xSxx, xxFx and xxxJ types to the torch en masse to acquire this goal. :phear:

Therefor, you've passed any tests I could put you up to. You may roam freely in INTP-land.

The question implied that I would be able to survive the takeover to experience the that society. So no, I don't mind. Everybody wants to be on the winning side of a revolution. ;)

Welcome Cyberpunk!

I must say, ENFP's have some tolerance on INTP's.

My gods - such overt affection from the baron! Welcome, Cyberpunk, your extroverted charm has already overcome our most recalcitrant of teddy bears.

Why do timid misanthropists love ENFPs so?

We like ENFPs because we can sit in their wings and just enjoy the ride as they fly along with ease through territories we usually find difficult, not the least socialising  I suspect though the same may apply to any ExxP

I love extroverts. I've attached myself to many an extrovert over the years and been basically their curious sidekick. It's a ticket to the world.

Interesting, because a former girlfriend was typed by a friend as INFJ and I would be surprised if she shared your enthusiasm.

Sorry, not all extroverts. Just the special ones. The ones who are mad to live, and never say a commonplace thing...

Oh, it's those types of extroverts I tend to avoid.

Same. Pretty much all of my closest relationships (friendships and romantic) have been with hardcore extroverts (always intuitives though). It's a nice symbiotic relationship -- I hitch a sidecar to their life and get to share in experiences I otherwise would never have sought out for myself and they get mildly entertaining footnotes added to experience itself.

Thanks guys!

I don't doubt that it's a real thing and I could probably have been one before. But now it's too late. Totally extrovert. :(
