100,000 in private breeding programs sounds about right. Tiger Balm is really thick so probably it takes a lot of Tigers to keep up with demand. You'd have to have at least that many.

(Sorry. Could not resist.) :D

But this is about retarded white tigers right? If there were that many, white tigers wouldn't be rare anymore (unless you assume that there is some secret underground organization keeping a bunch of them under captivity away from public or government knowledge which really isn't that probable)

I remember one time I had a stupid, impractical thought....

What if we didn't have highways, but had cylindrical, highway-esque roads, where people would travel in balls/capsules that would roll at high speeds, that would exit at the correct destination, instead of long car travel...

Odd idea, huh?

That is interesting...

I don't think it's that stupid, but if you're going to go for efficiency, why not go all the way? Like teleporting cubicles or something. You could have something like a subway station, except there being rooms like larger elevators, which would go to a specific location.

*One problem though...If we roll in those capsules, I think I'd probably have blacked out.:ahh:

I thought of a great idea for a business the other day for America.
Unplanned pregnancy insurance. So many people have babies that are accidents. And in mos cases, those people cannot afford a child or are hadly ready for that endeavor. What if for a small fee of 10-15 bucks a month you could protect your self or your children. It would have to be marketed correctly. Although I figured selling to fathers of teens would be the best market. Also guys could get a "Protect Deez Nutz" policy if they believe they might come across crazy women trying to steal their seed. It's not uncommon for those in the military to knock someone up overseas and get an unpleasant facebook message down the line when they are back home. The insurance claims would handle fees for abortions, adoptions, medical fees for routine maintenance on pregnancy, maybe up to 2-3 years baby supplies if they want to keep it (I figured this a good idea since the Danish government offers that since they are trying to increase the population). I was just thinking there is insurance for everything (A friend of mine actually had an insurance policy on his Magic: The gathering collection and if had to claim on it when his collection was stolen out of his car), why not this?

I thought of thinking... or something like that
______
So, this idea came to me, because I've had these thoughts before I actually thought. Basically, before I started thinking, I somehow thought about what I was thinking. (Is this just me?)
_______

If, based on experiences, one were to have different levels of thinking- as the first level would be thinking, second would be thinking before thinking, third as in thinking before thinking before thinking, and etc., would dreams and the subconscious just be one of these levels of thinking?

One has to "think", somehow, to produce an image in one's head, after all. Thus, we must all be thinking somehow. Does this not mean that even though we sleep, our brains are awake, or at least active enough such that it can produce such levels of thinking to power our dreams?

Furthermore, would this system somehow include our unconsciousness? Could one not make such a system clear enough as to label these levels of thinking clearly so we know what levels remain in our conscious realm of reality, and what are submerged further under the layers of foggy experience in our minds?

When one ponders this idea further, our brains are generally like computers then. Say that we have folders in which folders and other "papers" belong. Then our thinking subject we are currently thinking would be in the 1st folder, as a paper, and then the ideas we have on the second level would be in the 2nd folder, etc. If this system were to exist like so, one should also have a limit of storage in these files. Would some of the "papers" in the innermost layer be deleted to clear up more space- in comparison to computers, brain memory would be somewhat like the bytes available on your computer/google account/etc.? If so, then we technically would have forgotten the contents of that "paper", and thus we would not be able to retrieve such an idea or experience back.

If our brain memory space is unlimited however, does this not mean that we theoretically have photogenic memory? In that case, those identified with photogenic memory would just be people with unorganized brains such that all the "papers" of their ideas and experiences being stored in the 1st level of thinking's folder.

Unplanned pregnancy insurance.

Anyone can choose to have a pregnancy and call it 'unplanned', thereby collecting insurance, probably after only signing up for 1 month. This would just be a way to get free money for an infant for 2..3 years. As such, it's not an insurable proposition. Insurable things have to actually be random, not just gameable choices that people can make.

Meanwhile, I don't think expending $10..$15/mo is a good value proposition for abortion insurance. They aren't that expensive and you could just buy an abortion outright for a few years worth of insurance. There are indeed dumb insurance plans for all kinds of things out there, but this is more about businesses bamboozling people who are mathematically inept or have poor accounting and personal finance skills, than actually providing a service of value to society.

I remember when I was around 10 years old I was obsessed with figuring out a way for the world to work without money. Somehow make all or at least most people altruistic and honest and stuff and utilize everybody's skills and talents for the greater good. People would get to do what they loved and if anyone out there is like me, then they would have gladly done it for free (I gladly pet sit for anyone, anytime). However, I always ran into problems like thieves and greed and power and imbalance in how much a person did vs how much they received. That was my 10 year old little mind.

Now, I am mostly concerned with psychology and animal behavior. Finding correlations between the two or applying theories of one field to the other (I have a wonderful experiment subject too - my friend's doberman puppy). I think Pavlov's experiment with dogs could easily work on humans, haven't tried it yet though. I also enjoy physics.
Can't remember any specific ideas of mine

Dreams
I have very vivid, often scary-like dreams, but never nightmares. It's a weird thing I have. I can dream of fighting and monsters and even dying, but the entire time I'm perfectly calm. Anyone else like that? I have also experienced lucid dreaming several times. First time as a preteen when I made myself fly over some cliffs that I was about to crash into.

I had similar utopic thoughts, around the time I was about 13 or so. By that time I had begun thinking of all sorts of philosophical questions such as if there is free will, what is good, what is real, and of course how to best run a society. I think I identified with some form of socialism, and believed that we shouldn't have jails, or at least use them sparingly.

The last nightmare I had wasn't really a nightmare, it was must that when I awoke from it a scary thought went through my head, otherwise my dreams are just dreams. However I did have nightmares a year or two ago, however at that time I was going through a lot of nightmarish experiences in my waking life as well.

I remember around the time I was interested in those philosophical questions, I also started categorising the music I listened to into genre, and fine-tuning those definitions of genre, and also categorising people based into cliques like goth, prep etc. which no doubt is the sort of thinking that led to my interest in personality types.

People are a fascinating topic. I always try to fit the people around me into the MBTI types, but I usually fail cause I don't talk to those same people. Frustrating, but I don't think I would ever choose to be an extrovert.
I have always wondered how other people's thought process is different from mine and whether every person views the world differently. Not just from a personality perspective, but if my black is your black and stuff like that. There are too many what-ifs.

I definitely need to look into categorizing music.

I'm like that, too. One time I burned to death in a dream and didn't even wake up, I just calmly moved on to another dream/deep sleep after dying in that one. Oh, and that specific dream did this weird thing where it would alternate between first and third person.

In canada the law states that you cannot create any projectile that explodes or ignites on impact, however it does not prohibit projectiles that ignite coming out of the barrel. so I ended up ataching a blowtorch to the front of a 20 gauge shotgun and putting some thermite in the tip of 20 gauge slug that I hollowed out, then securing it with some flash paper that I taped to the slug after putting some gunpowder at the very tip to act as a primer for the thermite. I fired the 10,000
Degree slug at a steel target (steel targets are meant to take hundreds of shots without becoming compromised) and it went right through with ease, and this stuff is complely legal. Exploiting loopholes and shooting stuff, some of my favourite things combined into one.

Changing the world? No one can change the world single-handed. Let's approach the problem in another way. Let's say you are a doctor in the midst of an epidemic. One doctor cannot treat millions back to perfect health. I sit down and think, what is the best thing I can do? I can't build a city or skyscraper by myself. I got an idea(more doctors/workers. But first, I need to identify the nature of the problem. I want to make a better world, freedom, happiness, just a better world in general. The battle is primarily intellectual(philosophical), not political. Politics is last. In an intellectual battle, you do not need to convert everyone. History is made by minorities, of intellectual movements, which are created by minorities. Who belongs to these minorities? Anyone concerned about intellectual issues. What is required is honesty-intellectual honesty. Today we all live in a cultural-ideological vacuum. A political battle is fought with guns; a philosophical battle is a nuclear war. We have to bring order to our ideas, be consistent. We are applying abstract principles to concrete problems in the world.Looking for a consistent course of action. In brief: You want to teach the right philosophy, their mind with do the rest!

I always thought 6 billion individuals of this earth, all free and thinking for themselves. Anything everything is possible under Freedom. "Reality is comprised of concrete, individual entities, each with a definite nature, each obeying the laws inherent in nature. The universe is our lab to science, it is not controlled by a divine dimension(the big picture), it is an autonomous, self-sufficient realm. It is an orderly, intelligible, natural realm, open to the mind of man. And logic, reason is man's tools." Aristotle

I thought of beer that will taste good, but it will always make you throw up. That way you can drink single glass of beer over and over all night. Buy single beer, but drink all nigth and if you put it into the friged even two days in the row.

I was thinking the other day (because of tons of pot-holes that the city can't keep up with) that it would be great if our cars could hover. Then we wouldn't need to upkeep the roads (cost/time). Just the sidewalks would need to be nice. But then I realized that would only happen once EVERYONE had hovering cars, and that would be a very long time from the time the first real hovering car came to be. I mean, electrical cars have been around for awhile, but most people still drive gas powered cars. End of thought process.

I had a pad of paper to put ideas on and had quite a few. One was to design garden rocks that pop so that in the middle of the night if anyone tries to come on the property you would scare them off because the rocks would snap crackle and pop and tell everyone where they were and maybe catch some pants on fire too. Like mini mines that won't do real damage, just spook someone off.

In a dream at age 9 or 10, I dreamt of a field of dandelions that had healing properties for the heart. I picked some and brought back to a family member. I looked it up in adulthood and found out silymarin is the element in milk thistle and dandelion and they really cleanse the liver. So maybe the dream was right on and I keep dandelion milk thistle tablets on hand always now. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3586829/

Another is to completely redesign homes, especially kitchens and bathrooms into much more practical spaces. Whoever designed standard kitchens and appliances didn't do very well. If I were designing, the refrigerator would be twice as wide to allow much larger quantities to be frozen on neat little shelves and organizers within the freezer and a far better and larger area to put veggies and fruits and a far better way to control each compartments temperature, ie, individual adjustable temperature compartments for different foods. And I have other ideas of what a bathroom should look like - much more efficient use of space.

Another idea is to have a community of adobe homes or maybe even a city of adobe buildings / bring back / create a basic building block a lot like a lego in larger form of a brick so that you could build/snap together a shelter anywhere or even tow it anywhere and it would be light, strong, and easy to reassemble after hurricanes and you could build. Homeless people could also live there if they make their own adobe homes.
They could be simple igloo style or dome shapes, or pyramids, or cylinders, squares, whatever shape suits. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adobe

Cool ideas! I really like #1 and #4.

#2 yes, dandelion and milk thistle are very good.

As for #3, my husband and I have often talked of starting a bathroom layout consulting company, but particularly for public restrooms because those are usually horrible. However, there is probably no money in that because businesses don't really care about the layout of a bathroom, just that they ticked all the boxes.
