MY IDEA:

Just for this example we will make these definitions

MBTI Thinking we will call Concrete Processing (CP)
MBTI Feeling we will call Emotion Processing (EP)

Let us forget the MBTI terms for now because feeling and thinking functions still require "thinking" and it can get confusing if I don't lay out in advance that when I say "thinking" I am just describing a conscious process that uses logic.

Both CP and EP require conscious processing of logic. The difference is as follows...

EP is a value or emotional based system. It uses greater than or less than logical statements, so it uses a form of thinking. It also considers attachments and prioritizes them with values. The attachments occur between objects, concepts, and actions.

The value based system is an internal system inside yourself that prioritizes objects, items, people anything really giving each a value we call "Attachment".
When we face a decision we reference our value system and determine the value of an object and the concept or even a action and then determine the proper action to take by the associated value of the other attached objects.

ie In this example you value manners. You receive a gift, and you make a reference to your value system. An attached value to the concept of a gift is the action of " saying please". You say please because it has great importance to you.

In some cases we have to use concrete processing to address issues that are not in the value system, but when we do have something in the value system we always use that first.

CP will not function unless EP gives it a goal.

CP or Concrete Processing is logical statement not limited to greater and lesser than statements. CP derives its data from a more objective stance. The individual does not value the data. The objects data is inherent in the object and is in the action and the concept. The concrete processing performs action and reaction statements. it can reach a point where subjectivity is required even if that subjectivity is as simple as survival. The CP needs some kind of base value to establish a goal and that is where CP will work with EP. once CP has a goal it can perform objectively to reach the goal ignoring the value based system until the CP references an personal attachment or something referenced in the value based system. At that point the EP will again take control.

Does this seem right to you? It does not seem to fit with DOM F or DOM T. The only change between the EP (F) and the CP (T) is that the attachments, or emotional values, can exist abundantly (F) or not so much (T), or you could choose to ignore the emotional values while processing your goal. In this case you don't have a one or other approach but instead a sliding ruler from emotional to logical.

For the sake MBTI, is there a connection I'm missing or misdirection that is leading me away from the MBTI? Any holes?

Feelers are definitely welcome here to elaborate on the emotional processing bit. I always hear you say that 'Feeling for me is thinking, what is the difference?". So this was for you too.
