Product Placement

anyone else a bit bothered by the (new?) trend of product placement in movies? I went to see the happening and they had a whole scene filmed on an iphone, and a particularly close up of a jeep tire so you can see the logo. I know it can help pay for the movie, but anyone else have an opinion on it?

Movies that use excessive and obvious product placement such as what you describe also happen to be plotless, worthless, over-budgeted, over-hyped hollywood crap of the worst kind... Transforming the art of motion pictures into just huge advertisements is just a natural progression from what the movie industry has been doing for the entire decade...

Which means, I rarely watch those so I am not bothered by it.

The Happening? Such a lame title... I refuse to watch that movie... The trailers were bad enough.
"There appears to be an event happening?" ... Oh really!??

M. Night Shyamalan has gone way, way down since that accursed ending to Signs...

They have an Ipod in MGS4. Yep.






The walls in my house are really small. Maybe only three feet. But I went to spain once and the walls there are huge! You couldn't even climb over them. That's real home security.

As you try to think about what it is you have just read, and try to make sense of what has been said, you realise that you are very tired, and really need to sleep. Later, you will try to remember whether it was your left foot or right foot which stuck first, but they will be stuck for five minutes, no matter how hard you try, in vain, to unstick your feet.
