What's up with the chat system anyway?
Every time I'm online there's plenty of people logged on to the forum,
but never do I see anyone on the flashchat.
Why is that? Nobody knows it's there? Or is it too confronting?
It took longer? Well, a forum takes longer than a chat... I would think...
then again it also depends on who you're talking to and whether or not they're talking to other people as well...
Here in a forum, I don't think anyone has any expectations of a reply or that one is forthcoming anytime soon. It's just a matter of posting a message and if someone reads it and wants to respond, fine. If not, also fine. Chat seems more like a real-time conversation. Just less personal than a phone call or face to face. That's just how it feels to me. I'd feel obligated to excuse myself anytime I had to go to the restroom or get something to eat.
I'd like from time to time to chat with you guys, but actually i hate flash...
If we had a decent irc-chat however, i would like that. We could use a Jabberchatroom too, but i guess hardly anyone of you know what Jabber is, so...
On Jabber there is also the possibility for a groupchat...

EDIT: Ok, i created a room for us. It is on the server jabber.org (conference.jabber.org). The name is intpforum. The password is intp.
For you to access it, you have to get a jabber-account and a client. Which ones are available you can see at Wikipedia. If you have questions feel free to ask.
