control+alt up didn't work for me (pc+chrome check).

F5 works for most things.

I programmed my middle scroll button as a home button so all is well in the world.

if u click ur middle button on the mouse u can also go up really fast by a subtle move of the mouse up

That would be more actions than necessary. I rather just press one button and be at the top. What you suggest would be good for searching huge documents where it is all on one page. Then again there is always F3 for finding particular words for stuff like that. F3 is basically a search function that works for each page you are on. Try it. Press F3 and type in a word of interest. the press enter. keep pressing enter for different places it is used.
