I think temperament is probably formed during development starting before birth. It's so obvious in some children, even babies.
Why do distinct patterns like INTP emerge over and over?
strange attractorsI think temperaments are strange attractors from chaos theory. No matter where you start, you end up following the same general patterns in the end. This also explains why identical twins can have such different personalities. It only takes a small difference to diverge greatly during development. If this is the case, it would make personality impossible to predict through genetics. It might also explain why there are more of one type than another.
Any thoughts?
