i think the whole endeavor is useless and fruiltless

examine and predicting objects thousands of light years away, black holes, dark matter., galaxy, unknown stuff. wasting billions of dollars on the next telescope.

trying to predict the law of physics on space while still on earth bounded by gravity.

Why dont people predict what space is like and how it works when they are actually living in outer space, instead of being stuck here on earth.

it makes no sense to predict an alien enviroment when you are bounded by limitations of earth, your whole pradigm is limited by things you see, taste and touch on earth,

I see the validity of that argument. Seeing a picture of a black hole doesn't really change anything on earth. Some people complain about the small amount of funds that are being given to NASA compared to other government expenses, but then the question is: what's the use of pictures of dark holes when we're dealing with the shit show down here on earth, and when all of our real technological progress has nothing to do with space.

On the other hand, there are some useful aspects of space research. We obviously use satellites for a lot of useful stuff, Elon Musk our Great Savior might ship us over to Mars, etc.

No one is predicting an alien environment. Who said that? I think Bill Gates was the first to say they should reduce Nasa funding because there are so many problems here on Earth. Without space or physics there's no philosophy.

In other words you want Earth to get impacted by an asteroid so we all die. That's the real point of space research. I think you're all just miserable probably over some chick so you just copy each other and think how best to attract girls, waiting for virtual reality the savior to arrive so instead of doing "real" stuff you can just load a program up, probably virtual porn with crisp, HD graphics (the current graphics all suck) and get off on that instead? From the sounds of it that must be it, don't attack me for saying it. What's the shit show and if you think about it, why is there one and why won't it end, whose fault is it really?

I find stuff in astronomy fascinating, but besides the stuff that is relative and practical to us, I'd rather focus on us here on earth too.

Because in the event of overpopulation “migrating to other planets won’t solve that problem.”

no, i want at least focus on mass immigration/exodus to space before conduct any more space research and waste millions about celestrial objects there are trillions of light years away, although throwing an asteroid on earth would help.

the enviroment and laws in space are different from earth in so many ways , so its useless to image what space is like when you are stuck on earth. the future on space research must come from either sending more people (like thousands or millions) to space , so they get accustomed to more alien enviroment outside earth, or sending AI probes to do the job for us.

the human brain is limited by what we see and touch here, so its feeble for many people to imagine what the outer space enviroment is like, its laws etc when we are stuck on the ground.

Developing new launch systems is a lot more expensive than sending up a camera with a bigger/better lens.

That being said new more efficient launch systems are under development, although that suffers from the same problem, developing a slightly better rocket is cheaper than developing ground to orbit mass driver technology from scratch.

we cant even send more than 10000 people into space at this rate. a shuttle/rocket can at most carry 5 to 10 people

I read somewhere that they are currently trying to figure out where are the other planets of solar system. They have few guesses as to where they are, but they still cant locate them. Is it fruitless? Perhaps...
But Id take astronomers job over working insert stupid boring job

most people still have a very earthcentric view of the universe, which makes leaving the earth and have a different paradigm harder.

People just do the opposite, if you talk about any transcendence they say you don’t focus on the now. If you stop and smell the roses, they say you’re too simple, and don’t do any deep thinking about other dimensions or transcendence in consciousness. It’s mostly them not liking who is telling them because they want to it instead. You could say I’ve been doing that the whole time and it’s time for everyone else to get up to speed.

They’ll pass it off as their own original thoughts and ideas if anything happens.
