It was only a few days ago I remember entering your room from your window. Standing over you while you slept. I was in awe of the sight before me. I stroked your hair. You woke with joy in your eyes. Just to see me filled your heart with content. Your yells for others to witness this magical moment were like a Siren's song. I was drawn to you. We could not be apart any longer. Without time to spare, I whisked you into the wife's cage. I was enthused and could not contain myself. I shook the cage to signify the unbreakable bond between us. To Vermont we traveled!
Once in the cave, I released you. I initially drugged you so you couldn’t escape. I then established a rapport with you, made you trust me. Kept you by my side. Eventually, you were the one pursuing me.
Then, one unfortunate day, something happened. I lost you. I was out hunting for food, and when I came back, you were gone. Completely gone. There was no trace of you to be found. In the distance, I heard the screeches of a clan of hyenas. That was all.
