Anyone plays electric guitar?

Hello,

I was always fascinated by miracles people can do with a guitar. I am not interested in other types of guitars because I have already tried acoustic. However, there is a saying: "Once you get some metal in our ears, you won't come back." That happened to me. I am fascinated by Metallica's lead guitarist capabilities and have always dreamed about getting that guitar and learn some serious stuff. It would be my second instrument. I am proficient in playing accordion and now I want to learn guitar.

Could anyone who is pro recommend a guitar which would be good quality, not too expensive and suited for beginner?

I was about to post my considerations of Metallica's lead guitarist and metal soloing in general, but I ultimately decided against it. I don't want to disconcert someone that has found something they really enjoy and someone who inspires them to do music

Regarding which guitar to pick, it's highly taste dependent and recommendations will vary according to what kind of music you want to do, but I don't think you can go wrong with an ibanez considering the style you are going for. They have plenty of cheaper guitars that really does a great job at the whole metal thing - definitely more than enough for a beginner.
When just starting out, I don't think it matters too much what guitar you pick though. The main thing is to get some chops together and figure out how much you like doing it. After you have gotten your feet wet, provided you enjoy playing, you should consider going "all out" purchasing a higher end, quality guitar as you will end up with that anyway.

Peavey Wolfgang's used to be really good for metal, came with a Floyd.
I got a Kramer Baretta with an OFR for $300 like 5 years ago, pretty good deal. Not sure if they're still that cheap.
Ibanez is good too, I got an RGT42 like 8 years ago for about $400, but didn't come with an OFR.

The original lead guitarist from Metallica got kicked out for being too big a drunk (and being the greatest guitarist..ever) and started Megadeth.

This is incorrect, of course. The truth is that very little is about the guitar, and most of it is in the guitarist. AND what really matters beyond that is what you want out of the guitar.

Les Pauls have a 'round' sound, but can be quite annoying to play if you are used to guitars with lower strings. I think they suck.

The SG is really comfortable to play and I have nothing against the sound. Plus it's easy to reach the whole neck. (unlike that stupid Les Paul with the thumb-side blocked messing everything up.) Only downside would be that it's quite unstable where the neck meets the body, which means that it quite easily gets out of tune when bent.

The stratocaster. The ultimate guitar. The best sound, the easiest to play and the best looking. Buy this one. The last ones are crap (especially Les Paul) compared to this.

I love them all. I actually live in Corona, where Fenders are made, but I'm still a huge Les Paul fan.

Yup. And that doesn't even mean that Strats are the best, only that Clapton likes them best at the moment, for him to use.

Well it's quite simple. Depends on the sound.

There is clearly a deep tone the Gibson. All of Slash's music is done by a Gibson Les Paul. BB King is Gibson too.

Fenders sound quite light and nice for making complex solos sounding decent, subtle,and artistic. Gibson just mashes them into the heavy metal criteria which is not to my liking.

I used to like the Gibson noise back then but after John Mayer I have really shifted in music taste.

That particular model seems to suck. First off, the mic-switch is located far from the controls, which means doing something remotely buckethead-like is very difficult to do. That's in my case at least, since I like playing close to the neck.

Not practical.

I usually think of something like a kramer. but anything with fret locks, active pick ups , maybe that dtuner thing. Me i prefer Les Pauls or Heritage guitars. For bass only a rickie will do I love mine!
