INTP and ADD?

If you were given a description of your type (INTP) and an analysis that you have ADD you could easily mistake one for the other lol. I think you're in good company Nihilmatic, plenty of people have complained about that on here. I was able to cope I think because maybe I was more INTx I think. Skipping classes also helped a hell of a lot though. For what it might be worth, there's this if you are interested

Yes it is happening to me right now. I am a third year college student and after the first year I hated school. Most professors at my school are researchers who teach as a side job to make some extra cash. They know to get the main point across of what they are teaching but spend the other time with nonsense nothing needed for Test. But I know that if I don't go to class I'm not going to retain info. If you are lucky to get power points online and tests are based on power points ur in luck. You don't need to go to class. I go to a pretty big school and I can safely say the school system is fucked. Absolutely fucked. Maybe it always has been. Unless you are there to actually learn something and enjoy learning things in a classroom setting your out of luck. School is overrated and it's not for everyone. Sure, it's a great environment to learn, but if ur like me a prehealth student who only needs the grade it becomes abhorrent. I say this because I KNOW I can score top on all my science classes but I don't because I'm not motivated enough. For an hour class I probably pay attention for say a cumulative 10 minutes at most for what I need to know.

Remember add is just a word that describes an occurrence. It isn't a tangible thing. In my opinion add happens much much more with intuitives, because we PREFER to juggle ideas than live in the moment, and the H in adhd just means your an extravert?

That's not really what ADD (or ADHD PI ((Primary inattentive as it's called now)) is.

There's actual, measurable difference in the brain with those who have ADHD compared to those without. Being a bit bored and lazy is not ADHD. Those are usually the symptoms we hear about, but if you start reading up a bit, the mechanisms are far more complex.

The American school system is horrible. No one really Learns anything other than memorizing garbage for half your life :/ but that's what happens when all the money goes into military. I was frequently take out of class in elementary school and even speculated as having ADD lol I was just bored out of my mind by those boring teachers that know nothing themselves
