At some point I have wondered why it seems people don't do bad things. Or rather I wondered why they do them and not good things.
There are some people I have met that are genuinely kind and caring people that understand what others are going through and harm no one.
And then others I know are the opposite.
Within any group there are both these kinds of people. And I find that variation exists where they lean either friendly or hostile.
I don't mean to exaggerate but I don't find myself to be as extreme as those I know whom seek retaliation for the wrongs that have happened to them. Not that I have never lashed out but I never felt the need for physical violence.
Maybe it's because I don't feel right about taking advantage of people is the reason why I don't do it. But I don't believe everyone is like this mostly because of the emotional burden it takes on them. I believe that the habits you form determine your character so most people learn to treat others the way they were treated and yet some people can learn not to return to or get payback from others no matter how poorly they were treated. So there is variation and I think it depends on that person as an individual.
