Hi! I'm new here. Not only to this forum, but to the world of MBTI. As an inevitable result of my lack of MBTI knowledge, I have yet to develop adequate typing skills. I have successfully determined that I am an INTP, but thus far lack the confidence to type other people (something that I am increasingly interested in).
This is where you come in. I have a friend I am interested in typing, so I thought you clever people may be willing to help me out.
Here's a brief on her:
-she's rather dry humored, fond of deadpan delivery that she doesn't seem to particularly care if anyone picks up on
-she enjoys working with wood - as in building things with it (minds out of the gutter)
-for a career she teaches at a high school, but majored, if I recall correctly, in kinesiology
-sometimes speaks in monotone, with relatively blank expressions
-is at other times expressive, with plenty of smiling and enthusiastic speaking
-days in which she is in a bad mood are easily spotted
-she gets bored easily with inconsequential or dull, repetitive work
-she's fairly messy, and doesn't seem to hold much weight on rules
-in her job I know she is always punctual with things, always has lessons and such planned out, is thorough (hence where my confusion with the J/P dichotomy comes in)
-doesn't snap at people easily, but when irritated/angry she tends to rely on monotone as if to control herself
-she's athletic, likes sports and hands-on activities
-fond of factual things (once when skimming a political news article with her, I recall her interrupting my reading to scroll down to the facts listed on bullet points)
-a visual learner, I do believe
-she always has a, for lack of a better description, deep pondering, almost angry thinking face when she's going about things and nobody's speaking to her
-she has friends, but not many, and isn't especially extroverted in nature
-can be awkward
-often makes self-deprecating jokes, and takes jibes well, although you can tell sometimes that she, on some level, takes them in...and thinks about them? perhaps gets somewhat...hurt?
...aaand that's about all of the relevant information I can surmise at the moment. Do try give me your input! It would be greatly appreciated
I've been leaning towards an... ISTP??
