Yay, welcome to the forum.

I like star wars as well. The old republic is outstanding, the first trilogy(IV, V and VI) is a classic and I've made papecrafts of some Star Wars universe ships(Star Destroyer ftw).

My cellphone ringtone is the Imperial March. And Chewbacca's roar is my message ringtone.

So yeah, I guess that's what i mean by welcome.

Star Wars isn't exciting enough.

I'm really no sci fi expert, but I've been watching a few episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation on telly, and I really like it. There's always a mystery. I love mysteries. So I'm planning on watching the whole series.

If you are going to watch any Star Trek spin-off series, then I would suggest you don't miss Deep Space 9. I found it superior to TNG, Voyager or Enterprise by a long shot (I think it was the longest running too but that's no indicator of good or bad)

A New Hope is the only film worth watching as a movie in and of itself.

I think lightsaber duels, shootouts, political conspiracies and destruction of planets are exicting.

But of course, "exciting" is subjective.

I enjoyed it, but like I said, not worth it as a standalone (of course because it's a sequel). After the first, they all expand off the original universe with additions that make it, on the whole, uninteresting.

Hello.

I prefer battlestar galactica (the newer version eh?) over star wars or star-trek, though I did enjoy voyager quite much as a kid, and I loved enterprise. My love towards star wars faded a bit because I played their video games - Star Wars Jedi Knight or Jedi Academy or anything else in that series (obviously I always inputted the cheat to get the light saber) but it was then when I realized that human beings can't jump as portrayed in movies but they are rather more clumsy then that like in the game.

long story short:
battlestar > star-trek > star wars

But nothing pawns StarGate (SG-1, Atlantis and universe). EVER, NEVER.
