Hybrid INTP/ISTP

Took a more thorough test and found I'm 89% N and 89% S.

I read the ISTP and agree with it about as much as I do INTP. I love theorizing but the ISTP is a person of action and I can very much relate to that.
I good quote I heard when comparing the two: "the INTP will come up with the idea of the crazy go-kart death machine, the ISTP will actually build it and test drive it"

Have to agree with Base Groove. You're probably an extra-intuitive ISTP.
I was showing a lot of ISTP signs as a child but grew into a very obviously INTP individual. A lot of IXTPs have trouble with this.

Whether your INTP or ISTP, the N and S will usually be close together. My hunch is your an ISTP.

Which dominates? Do you like interpreting and calculating based on concrete things, or abstract things? Concrete being things are tangible, like gears, wrenches, pulleys, speed, acceleration. Abstract things are not tangible, and are usually ideas, meanings and concepts.

Another thing you could ask is which of these two (abstract or concrete) derive from the external world and which derives internally.

I really like both. I enjoy reading and watching quantum physics lectures, but also I enjoy concrete things, like cars etc.

As I said I scored 89% for both S and N

I built a quay the other day. To make life easier when I fish trout. When I was 16 I built a small cabin with the floor 20 feet above the ground, on a hill top. I spent a whole summer doing that. I also killed a lot of moose from there (I'm very particular about meat that I eat. There is little I detest more then buy fish, meat and berries from the store).

An enneagram test could possibly help give you a little more clarity.
