I've begun to wonder if I'm the only person that does this. I see a piece of wood and imagine the entire molecular structure of it, then I imagine the history of architecture, and maybe even the chemical reaction of combustion. I see grass and I envision diagrams and remember lectures on photosynthesis and aerobic respiration. I see a mirror and think about the reflection of light from certain surfaces, then the wave/particle duality property of light comes to mind, I imagine photons, maybe my mind will even wander off into how gamma rays effect certain things, maybe that will lead to critiquing the series "The Incredible Hulk" for the misrepresentation of gamma rays, which do not grant superpowers, unless cancer sympathy is a superpower in your book.
In observing the simplest of things or interactions my mind wanders off into some of the most ridiculous complex systems in my database, sometimes even constructing new theories and systems entirely. I know that it's in our nature to enjoy systems and complex theories, but at some point it just seems absolutely ridiculous.
So, my question is, do you guys do this too? What other types do you think do this?
Is the entire basis of The Hulk's superpower wildly inaccurate?(yes, yes it is)

Yeah it is.

And yeah I do that too, a little differently but that overlay of abstract information is there.

I do see things that way, or at least used to... Being burned out and oversaturated with work can severely damage one's creativity. I was rather horrified when i first noticed my mind had ceased drifting the way it used to and turned into a worthless mulch. I blame academia.

Shit, I desperately need vacations...

Ummm yeah... carry on.

I would think it's normal for anyone who takes an interest in science.

Yeah I do that sometimes. I also wonder whether anyone else does. I remember explaining to my INTJ friend how I could look at something and imagine how it was constructed at an atomic level. I think just the other day I was considering the illusion of solidity (by which I mean, of course, that the atoms of which things are composed are mostly empty space, so the illusion of a solid object is due to the inter- and intramolecular forces). I agree, academia and work in general ruin creativity quite a bit.

I used to image such things while looking at the night sky. Imagining stars, planets, nebula's. Sometimes molecular structures too though, but less.

My vision is Great, for some reason I feel as though it may be better than most, i love the beauty of it, looking at the textures, movements, reflections, energy, than back to reality, WTF you looking at.

Yeah, I do both, the macro (what is much larger than us) scale and the micro (what is much smaller than us) scale, and try to incorporate the size scale of both into a whole, then add time. I'm sure whatever scaling my brain can compute on this large scaling picture is only fractional to how it exists in reality and yet it still amazes me.
As far as imagining the atomic and subatomic levels of objects around me- yes, I do this. It makes my world feel completely fucking gigantic, among other inspiring thoughts.

A lot of visual people in here... One arm ninja it is rather peculiar to see your visual intelligence score low on your sig based on your statements.

+1 for the idea that you are like other science based intp. I on the other hand am more internal and logical with my dissections.
