My English class was assigned a Cause-and-Effect essay on The Crucible by Arthur Miller. Being interested in the play and the subject of McCarthyism, I decided to dig a bit deeper into what caused McCarthyism and I concluded that ignorance caused the Red Scare(s). Now, in the process of writing my essay, I also interpreted Christianity (since it is the main driving force of the evil in The Crucible), analyzed Christianity in the play, compared and contrasted the two, and finally concluded with how the misinterpretation of Christianity caused them to act in a way which isn't appropriate according to the 'true' interpretation of their religion.

I don't need anyone's opinion on the topic (though it is welcome, if you did a similar assignment). However, I do need guidance; should I submit everything that I wrote together as one collected works project? I've asked the teacher, and she hasn't given me a straight answer. I mean, while I wouldn't have to submit them all for the cause-and-effect essay to make sense, it would make everything very clear. Unfortunately though, everything combined totals close to thirty pages. The assignment was supposed to be two-to-three but no length maximum was ever specified.

What would you guys do? Would you submit everything knowing that -- being an INTP -- many people cannot always follow your train of thought? Thus, by submitting everything, you are giving people more insight into your own mind to further potential comprehension.

30 pages haha. :p

Yeah I went through the same assignment. Look at the situation though: You can keep it all to yourself and praise your excellence in private; or you can publish your work, and your mind's capabilities as well, which your peers and teachers will learn of, possibly receiving some external praise and/or a celebratory acknowledgement in the form of some object/deed.

Personally, the apprehension of the thought of submitting such an unusual(and unnecessary(?)) amount of work, which is lined with my personal thought processes, would most likely keep me from submitting.

But then again, sometimes you do things that don't make any sense. ;)

Take a risk....

Do you actually have anything to lose by turning it in? Really?

A cause-and-effect essay sounds like the most boring shit ever, just sayin.
