I've been screwing around with it off and on for a few months. Anyone else?
Tonight I surpassed myself in finally being able to transition between barre chords. I still can't change between barre chords and regular chords yet though, among other things I can't do.
Anyhow, as someone who's owned a regular guitar and tried (half-heartedly) to learn that way, this is orders of magnitude better on every level. Their pedagogical system could use some work, but overall it's surprisingly good. Also a lot more fun than a regular guitar (cause it's a video game). All the fun of Rock Band but you're actually learning an instrument!
Pro Guitar - Rock Band 3
I won't be satisfied until I can play Walk of Life - one of the more difficult songs - on expert (by which I mean a real guitar). Unfortunately there's a good chance that'll never happen. But at least I have a goal now.

So, how bout it? Anyone else trying to learn this way? Any elitist musicians want to debate me that this is a legitimate method to learn a musical instrument?
