Suppose we learn how to recreate your entire neuronal pattern by freezing, slicing and scanning your brain after you die. This isn't fantasy actually, but a technique being used to map neuron patterns in mice and the like (I believe only the C Elegans nematode has been mapped so far)*
So this pattern is played into a computer, run and 'you' live again, inside a virtual world in the computer

- Is it really you?
- How is this any different from going to sleep, losing consciousness thereby, and waking up again?
- What happens every morning when you wake up, consciousness is discontinuous, did the mind just reboot?
