Personality Type (Jung on the Hudson Book Series): Lenore Thomson: 9780877739876: Amazon.com: Books@@AMEPARAM@@http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/510FQcEsu2L.@@AMEPARAM@@510FQcEsu2L

Read this book, again if you already have. This is the best general purpose MBTI book I've seen yet. She corrects all of the common mistakes that people make with MBTI. For example, she distinguishes between having feelings and being a feeler. When I first bought it a year or two ago on the recommendation of Personality Junkie I didn't get much from it. What she says is pretty intensive and takes some serious thought to really understand. Secondarily, what she says about the INTP isn't particularly insightful, compared to some of the other resources we have on the Internet. However what is particularly insightful are these general points about MBTI and in particular her insights and other types.

For example the extroverted sensor. I've dealt with a lot of these my life, including my parents and a key insight I got from her was how these types, for the most part, really don't have an interior life. In fact some of them are actually afraid or abhor the interior life. This is been tremendously helpful for me in dealing with these types because instead of continually wondering why they don't simply have instincts about themselves and others that are so obvious now I understand that they can't have those insights. They need to be told these things, as they depend on the exterior life to given that kind of feedback instead of the interior as we do.

There's much more in their and all told I highly recommend reading it.
