often inexplicably absent for long periods of time
it seems increasingly apparent to me as i grow older and grow up that i used to be an extremely serious and quite a quiet child, which are generally seen to be "mature" traits, however as i've gotten older i've discovered the pleasure that can be derived from absurdity and silliness, while also becoming more in touch with other people and feelings and as a result i seem to be more immature (usually to NFs and SFJs) and arguably much less independent (especially in the eyes of my ISTJ father) than i used to be
somehow this seems to me to be the reverse of what most people do as they become older (the general process being the transition from fun, carefree and friendly to serious, quiet and independent) while i don't actually believe that i have become immature i do definitely seem to be a lot less mature (in some sense of the word) than when i was younger
in actual fact i think that i have become more emotionally mature and more of a rounded human being and only seem, paradoxically, more childish
tl;dr long story short do INTPs seem to become less mature with age while other types (the general majority) become more serious
i was wondering if this was a common INTP thing, if it was relatable to any of you on the forum, or if you think i may have misinterpreted the situation and what is actually going on here or just general discussion, or... like... you know... whatever
