When I realized that Ni is going into the back of the eyes that changed everything.
I now know how functions work.


Perception

Ni - The eyes look into the back of the head looking for internal patterns.
Si - The eyes look into the back of the head but without moving. This is on the instinctive level.

Se - stares directly at the object getting a high res view.
Ne - stares at the object waiting for an idea to happen.


Judgment ()

Extroversion goes into the object.
Introversion goes into the subject.

Ti - Thinking happens in the back of the mind
Fe - the objects of feeling are made to work together

Te - Thinking goes into the object of thought
Fi - feelings must be set right to properly relate with

This is interesting - I haven't explored MBTI in general as well as from this (physiological/subconscious?) perspective at depth to be able to derive these statements, but I can pretty much validate that the resulting statements in connection with TiNe/SiFe seem valid/congruent with my worldview.

Why is it important to understand the role the eyes play in Ni and Si?

Ni looks into the unconscious for ideas.
Si looks into the unconscious for instincts.

Both of these are in the background of the mind and so it needs to look there somehow.

I disagree here.

Ni - is connect the dots perception. Cause and effect. Perceiving the most probable chain of events from the subject's point of view.
Example:

Spoiler: Ni

Si - subjective perception, aka how the subject experiences the physical environment.
Examples: comfort, aesthetic sense, tase, discomfort, subjective memory of an external object and so on..

Ne - is possibility perception. The possibilities existing in the external environment in real-time.

Se - perceiving how objects and external forces interact in real-time

These are not judging functions, they merely feed data to the judging functions.

All of those are true but the reason we have introverted and extroverted as functions orientation is that all those things you listed have a direction they are at: inside or outside.

Two perceptions work going inward and two outward. You do not account for this.

Ni and Ne are different
Si and Se are different

2 are subjective and 2 are objective. They always come in pairs. Ne-Si and Se-Ni. Dominance in one is merely a preference and everyone has all 4.

Ni and Si: Subject <-------------- Object
Ne and Se: Subject ------- Object <----> Object

Judging functions work similarly.

This is why Fi is basically how the subject relates to the object on an emotional level, while Fe is how objects relate to each other on an emotional level.

A Fi dom will concern itself with internal personal harmony, a Fe dom with external harmony between objects.

Lol, no. think of Si as impressionist art and Se as realism.

A sensor is generally good at both Se and Si and depending on the preference between the 2 he willbe decent at one intuitive function and utter shit at the other. Can't use Ni and Si or Ne and Se at the same time. A Ni dom will have terrible Si for example, but will depend on Se and will have gr8 Ne.. that is usually ignored.
