This is an experimental journey into my mind, and into yours.
The premise is simple: How am I percieved on this forum?

I have been active on this forum for a few months, and through my interaction I have realised something: I insert words, wether in rational discussion or aimless bantering, and I in turn absorb the words of others. Yet it is easy to forget the fact that I am interacting with other human beings who exist in a non-virtual environment.

After much pondering, I asked the question: How is my percieved persona here different than how people percieve me off-forum?

As this is not a question that one can easily answer on his own, I wish for a summary, brief or otherwise, of my values and faults, my ideals and mistakes, as you perceive them.

I have seen you around but to be honest, I don't recall any particular post of yours or impression you've caused, neither positive or negative.

In other words, who the hell are you? :confused:

@Kuu

To answer your question, I am a casual poster with varying levels of activity. I may not have a distinguished presence on the forum, but I see this thread as a learning experience with application to my life and my activity on the forum. It would be interesting if you were to formulate an opinion on my posts and threads.

I like how you don't waffle on like some users on here. You are straight to the point.

Rook. I will give you a specific answer and a more general one. I recognize your handle but don't recall what you've said. That doesn't mean I wouldn't if I went back and read. I could do that. To your current message, I'd say you have a measure of uncertainty as to how others see you.

You CAN answer this on your own, but it will take one secret ingredient: interaction. You find out how people take you by your interaction. That's not a universal truth. Sometime people will see something negative and not tell you. They may give only positives. Some people will be hesitant to tell you negatives. Others will be reluctant to tell you positives and only too eager to tell you negatives. You may never learn their secret thoughts unless you probe.

I never really fully realised this, but in retrospect, I take the direct path in the majority of my interactions. This has lead to many a social blunder, and is something that I can moderate outside of rational discussion, ie. small talk or so called 'touchy subjects'.

Ah, indeed I am uncertain. This in turn drives my curiosity. This is why this thread exists, it is a probe. But I understand that your statement is directed towards my non-virtual interactions, where there is a general lack of probing.
