I enjoyed crusader kings more.

I played this a lot but then got frustrated trying to mod greater realism into it, especially with regard to political systems (communists enable race-based slavery almost as soon as they win revolutions and almost never increase social reform despite being able to), and also because it's very difficult to mod in additional governmental systems.
I still play it from time to time, but I like EU3 better. There's a converter from EU3 saves to Vicky 2 saves in the works; I just wish it were one from my favourite EU3 mod (MEIOU, or maybe Terra Nova) to Vicky 2 modded to take account of the differences.
