What is Extroverted Intuition, and how could I develop it?

My head hurts from trying to read type descriptions. Can anyone put it simply? I know I can over-think myself into a hole of introversion, and I want to get out of it.

And, thank you in advance. I'm desperate for help.

It's conceptualization with a focus on reality, distinct from introverted intuition which is pure conceptualization.

It's like a mix of introversion and extroversion, but with a focus on introversion, whereas introverted intuition is pure introversion.

How to develop it? I dunno, look for patterns in reality, try to understand reality. I think trying to understand physics is pretty good extroverted intuition development. Just don't buy into that quantum mechanics uncertainty crap.

an appreciation of new ideas, a desire to follow new trains of thought. applying strict definitions in new, unexpected ways.

That bias. So much unlike extroverted intuition.

Intuition is the perceiving function that is supposed to gather information (irrespectively of the source) for further processing by thinking and feeling functions. It's about drawing comparisons, patterns, connections or details of a wide range of repeating rather than singular subjects.

You can't develop it, I'm afraid it's a curse-gift. :o :D

So I could develop it by trying to understand reality? I need to go out more. Do different things.

Thanks everyone.

hehe

Intuition doesn't gather information, intuition conceptualizes the information received from the senses.

Don't take it word for word. Or, I guess you could.

Granted, that wasn't my most articulate explanation.

It was about the filtering process that happens in the brain.

I suppose you could say that intuition 'gathers new information' when you think about stuff and form conclusions.

I consider it idealistic curiosity.

Become curious and do things that foster it.
