Is it weird to say I really don't care? (Not directed at you, Abe, just in general.)

Everybody expected her to die young, it's no real surprise. It was somewhat her own choice, really. It's sad, but yeah... lots of people die every day.

Personally I couldn't care less if she lived of died..

It is however a little fun(interesting?) that a thread like this occurs before a thread concerning the Oslo incident does
(if such thread has actually been made, then ofc disregard this)

I like to focus on priorities.

No. I find it weird Abe made a thread on the woman.

Helluva marketing move. It really works.
This would be funny-coz-its-true funny if it weren't so true it's a cliché.
In all honesty I had never heard her music before today. I was aware of her as the butt of trash and druggy jokes and I suppose I just assumed she was one of those popular pseudo-musicians not worth checking out.
I heard of her death via the Poe site ChristWire which I read thinking it was one of their jokes, but there was no punchline.
She could sing. I never knew that. I'll probably buy her albums now.

I just had almost the same experience. The only song of hers that I knew about was "Rehab," which I knew to be one of those pop songs that I dismissed just for being a pop song. I went on YouTube yesterday, I listened to her music for hours, and I gained incredible new respect for her.

Sadly, the pedastal has been weathered away.
Well, I have a feeling that this woman will be remembered among future generations as one of the greatest talents of our own generation. Like, when you are a grandmother, and you go to an oldies station on your satellite radio, they'll be playing the Beatles and Amy Winehouse. There are not a lot of talents that can represent the millennial decade, but Amy Winehouse is one of them. You may thank me for it.
