Statistics = fun?

I have always had a thing for statistics. Even from high school, I chose all the statistics modules and people thought I was crazy - most people avoided mathematics completely, or chose mechanics/pure mathematics instead.

Is statistics an INTP thing, or is it just me?

What statistics resources do you want to share with those who also love statistics? E.g. random.org

Statistics is boring for me. I prefer geometry and other 3D stuff. :}

I hated statistics with a passion at school. The only branch of math I did not like.

i like thinking in statistical terms:

"hmm i wonder how much lower the mean IQ is among people who enjoy this shitty music"

but i don't like the practical task of extracting and compiling statistics.

I like statistics, but I find it very difficult to use statistics packages and memorise all of the details of each technique and protocol.

I hate stats, though I love pure math, like calc or geometry. I just cant take raw data processing, and have no attention to detail, so I always miscalculate. Yes, all I need to do is follow a formula, but god damn it is boring. The tedium is unmatched by anything else in my experience.

Not sure statistics qualifies as a branch of mathematics. Probability is a candidate though.

When I was an undergrad, I took a course in probability. I remember the professor using integrals but don't recall following what he was doing. It didn't grab me. I also took statistics. This course definitely wasn't grounded in pure mathematics so I didn't buy it or like it. The amazing thing was my math buddy must have liked it. He went on to get a Ph.D. in mathematical statistics from Harvard no less.
