Just to say, if an even longer absence was noted, waiting for an operation or two on my once broken arm [ 2017 ], which they discovered months ago was in two parts divided is. Apparently the first operation didn't take. An new operation was pronounced to be after Christmas, and they are evidently keeping to that.
Still, worse things happen at sea. Point rather is that my schedule gets a bit erratic.
Plus of course, our elected dementos are having a prolonged breakdown, acting with all the skill and wisdom one expects of assemblies where in disputes the side with the most numbers instantly has the immediately correct decision [ never really understood that... ], over stupid fucking Brexit. Which adds terror and dread to our daily lives in Britain. Partly through listening to those overpaid accountants and hausfraus pontificate.
The surgeon diagnosing my arm a few months back was Danish, [ I spent some happy childhood years in Danmark aged from about 6 carrying metal milk-churns through snow drifts nearly as tall as I ]. It's difficult to see how the NHS will cope without an influx of foreigners...

It is impossible for anyone of any age or creed not to be enchanted by Die Twinnies, those two Bavarian children playing accordion whilst roller-skating. And singing. For a brief shining moment they thrilled us all.
Such relentless cheer is sometimes the only way to snap a friend out of a funk...
