Since there is a happiness topic going on right now, I was wondering if anyone has any specific dreams that would make their lives amazingly good. For me, it would be to own a little self sufficient cottage somewhere near a forest, and maybe a creek, with lots of animals and a garden, earning my keep simply by writing.

My dream is to be in another form, or to be able to access one, though I also echo your ideal of self-sufficiency and isolation. Though is it really isolation, or a means to get closer to something else?

And you'll want the creek, trust me. Everyone needs a creek. ;)

That sounds about wonderful to me. Self-sufficient hermithood. Yesss. Plus being alone with my thoughts, nature, pen & paper would be amazing- at least for a while

Go to a few great raves.

Or have a large soundproof room with a quality sound system and lighting effects / luminous paint.

Though when i watch raves on videos they seem super fun, I'm pretty sure I would not enjoy them that much (I would probably mope somewhere in a corner all the while. I've been doing that in concerts too, when I barely know that singers).

But the quality sound system an lighting effects with the luminous paint seem better. I could get crazy without other people seeing me. :D

Btw, does anyone else love sitting out in the evenings and looking at the stars? As a kid I used to do that all the time when we went to our village. Back then we didn't have street lamps there, so everything could be seen.

Yeah there are some things in the actual experience that would be turnoffs, like being stuck in a large unmoving crowd. Still I haven't been yet so I'd be willing.

Here in California has too much air pollution to see stars. :slashnew:

Living in the countryside or forest would be great, but I'm not sure if I could deal with being cutoff from society for too long, I like the immersion of big cities too.

Yeah I guess we are social creatures to a degree. I would probably go nowhere without internet and a computer, also I wouldn't mind to have some other people around (but not too close) in case of an emergency.
