Howdy, my name is Porter, I'm a 23 year old single male, and currently I'm in Michigan, and will be moving up here for school, as I was recently accepted into the University of Michigan. I heard about INTP Forum via Google; I've been to INTP Central, and thought that it sucked, and I've wanted a community of INTPs and INTP friendlies. I really got into MBTI in the fall of 2010, as my best friend, an ENFP, told me about it, and the rest is history. Speaking of, I love history, as well as technology, music, military things, science of all kinds, psychiatry, languages, animals...the list goes on and on. Learning is excellent, I love it! Anyway, just wanted to say hello.

Thanks! I'm hoping to become a psychiatric physician assistant, and Michigan is a lot closer to the three schools for that than my home of Texas. The three psych PA schools are in Minnesota and Iowa.

I currently am driving the German Mediums:
Panzer IV and its derivative the VK3601(H)

Well armored from the front and possess powerful, accurate guns. German medium and heavy tanks are for strategic, deliberate play. Their 10.5cm guns pose a threat even for far more armored and high tier tanks.

Also driving the American Tank Destroyers:
M8A1 and the T49

Very fast, lightly armored, able to reinforce any flank that needs a boost in firepower. It's a pleasure being able to zip around the battlefield at a moment's notice, and to fire upon unsuspecting enemies from a camouflaged position.

I intend to study psychology and biology, as that would be beneficial to my career aspiration of psychiatry, though not an MD quite yet. I don't know why the icon keeps showing IE, as I use Chrome now and again, when I get on a computer that has it installed (I have to use a computer lab, and all of the computers use 7). How do you change those icons anyway? Never played WoT, heard about it, but I do know that, for a German tank, I'd go with the Panther, the Panzer V, and for an American tank destroyer, I'd go with the M18 Hellcat. Extreme speed and good firepower in the case of the Hellcat, and good speed with good armor and firepower, for the Panther, historically speaking. No German tank fielded in WWII had a 10.5 cm gun, but they did have the good ol' 88s in both Tigers, which were more than enough to kill other tanks. The Panther's high velocity 75 and 76.2(?) mm gun was a good gun, and so was the Hellcat's 76.2 mm anti-tank gun, which is similar to what the Sherman Firefly was fitted with. Cool thing: the Hellcat ran on a radial engine. Anyway, in my opinion, the best all-around tank of the war was the Soviet T-34. Cheap, easily mass-produced, and very well rounded, as far as armor, firepower and speed were concerned. Only thing is that it wasn't very comfortable for it's crews, and that contributed to fatigue.
