Hello, I'm new here. Found out about this site from the other INTx forum where they tend to talk about serious business most of the time. I really like it there too though. So, I came across this test http://www.keys2cognition.com/explore.htm and got branded with an awesomely high Ti-Ne score, which really made me wonder since I've always tested as an INTx (half-half). I lurked on here for a little bit and thought the culture was pretty fun compared to that other place

A few things about myself; I'm 26, from Manila, Philippines. I took up Political Economy in college, worked for an NGO, hated it. Then I ended up working for a bank's HR dept. and got bored. Now I'm in a hotel being a manager while taking up software engineering as a second course. I'm still really confused about what I want to do, and I am a dilettante of sorts; the head in the clouds easily distracted type. I'm a bit of a Japanophile, mostly into anime figures, jpop and gaming (I speak the language). And I like cake.

Man, it seems as if I just can't take those tests in an honest way anymore. Or the test was bad. Or there's nothing wrong with the results. All I know is that the test said I was an INTP but had limited use of Si and Fe while having average use of Ne and Fi and good use of Te. I'd better go to bed.

I find myself realizing, at least with MBTI, the more I take the test, the closer I become to the archetypal INTP. I believe this happens because I already know I am an INTP, easily figure out what all of the questions are for, and usually chose the INTP answer, even if that isn't what I am really like. But it happens in my subconscious, so I don't actually know I'm doing it. Confusing. I'm not planning on doing that cognitive function test too much. It came up with high Ti and high Ne, only supporting that I am INTP. I would like some Jness though (despite what I said in my previous post in this thread).
