The thing with Hustler is that he's as much a showman as anything else. At the times he sounds aggressive and mean, he's also tongue-in-cheek at the same time; he enjoys the hunt/combat. His arguments are less about rationally viewing all sides to reach the best view and more about just trying win the point and stop the opponent's arguments in their tracks... He's frustrating to debate due to his using as much tactical manuevering instead of global strategy. Shutting down the opponent is more important than reassessing and making better opinions. I usually don't bother, except to work on my debate skillz... because even if you catch him in something, he'll just pull a "No, you didn't -- nuh uh!" maneuver and just step out of it.
Yeah I agree. He plays his chosen role consistently well, and isn't always completely serious about it. That's why I don't vote for him to leave when he invariably ends up in the troll box. You don't always need people who can see all sides of the argument... variety is good. The only problem I have is that when he is on a posting spree, I get sick of it all fairly quickly. Haha. Eh, enough about Hustler - why am I talking about him?? Heh.
