I hadn't expected to visit here again. I've been contacted regarding suspicions that I've created another account named ''chrisid''. I find it necessary to inform you that I did not and will not create a second account.

I had previously decided not to return to this forum, and my decision stands. I feel obliged to clarify this situation, though.

I know it's not a major issue, but I thought it necessary to clarify. I may not like many aspects of this forum, but I don't want my legacy to result in new posters being treated with suspicion (this concern is secondary to my experimentation, but I won't be experimenting here again).

If you are not able to foresee the outcome of your behavior you should quit your "experimenting" and keep your feet still.

I regret that you're done with this forum. I found your experimenting refreshingly inspiring, and I had planned on trying some experimenting of my own, at least those things I could see the potential of. Which has been just a small part of your postings so far, and I was hoping it'd all make more sense to me as you'd post more of it. I guess I'll have to miss that now and do with whatever is left here. And there are surely others who were interested too.

I'm assuming (I've been absent) you've been hurt after some made fun of something personal that was very important to you. Then your reaction is human and understandable, but maybe not what a mature person would do, someone who can put their ego in perspective. This is not supposed to sound harsh. I hope you'll change your mind, but it's your call. The best of luck anyway!

Should there be another site where I could follow your experiments, I'd be interested to know.

I'm starting to think everyone on here is a fraud, including myself. People posting shit and opinions they have only looked into a little bit and walking around like gods.

You should stick around. I've just learned to stick to looking at the threads in certain sections, skipping over certain peoples posts, etc.

I find it odd someone would take anything said to them while under the guise of a false persona to heart. Why not just be the cynical asshole you want to be to begin with? No need to create this passive aggressive set up of a well intentioned thread that you know will be met with negatively so you can take stabs at people when they inevitably are like 'who cares' etc. Sorry if I sound like a dick just throwin in my opinion.

In short, I wouldn't take it all so personally but w/e man, its your choice.

I was thinking the same thing. But everyone on this forum seems to be so worried about not offending people so I didn't want to sound more like an asshole than I already have.

I feel a little guilty for my dismissive post in the original thread. I found the experiments interesting. I do something similar with these cards that were given to me by an aunt when I graduated college. Each one has a word on it (current one: Balance) and I meditate with it until I'm ready to move on and pick a new one.

I don't think it's your ideas that were so abrasive; it was probably the presentation.

This whole trust thing people keep bringing up with XIII confuses me. This is an internet forum, everyone here is essentially anonymous. Why do we need to trust each other at all and why should we want each others trust? This is a legitimate question; I'm not being sarcastic.

I think XIII is very intelligent, probably sick in the head, sadly immature, and definitely playing with fire with his experiments.

Maybe people were disgusted because they didn't appreciate being screwed with (by XIII pretending to be something he was not).

I'm new and previously unacquainted with XIII, and therefore took his post at face value. The first post of his that I read was the repugnant post about how to be "an happy INTP," which repulsed me and made me wish I could smack him. Only later did I read the experiment explanation, most of which had been erased by XIII (though I got the gist of it). Though I found the experiment intrinsically interesting, I then had great resentment for the deception that took place in the "happy" post and for the emotions he evoked from me under false pretenses.

Now he's back instigating more drama. I am forced to ask myself whether or not he is screwing with people once again.

We need trust because trust and respect are the two main contributing factors to any successful environment.

That being said, everybody should leave XIII alone.
I said one thing very bluntly about them, my opinion, because nobody else seemed to be willing to speak up.
I did not intend for everybody to decide to jump on the insult train; you have a right to your opinion but you have to watch for when you're ganging up on another.

Besides, I think XIII gets the point...

I don't understand why everyone keeps saying XIII was "pretending to be something he's not". That's implying a fixed personality to begin with - completely contrary to XIII's opinion anyway - which I don't think is something we can be certain about. This is quite aside from the fact that we have yet to discover what constitutes the 'self' anyway (consider people who sustain head trauma and become completely different people, or those who become markedly different after utilising motivational techniques). I personally have no idea who I am; none of my traits are fixed in stone and most could probably be easily changed. They would simply be new expressions of my'self' - a concept whose validity I am unsure of.

It seemed that some were making assumptions and dismissing the idea without really considering it first.

How come we always take these little threads and get off topic with them. It's like we over analyze them way too much and try to get a deeper meaning from them when it's just not there. haha. This is probably one of the reasons why I love this forum. We get off topic like 90% of the time. Most of the time it's just subtly off topic, but sometimes it seems like it's a complete different thread all together! A lot of the times I click on a thread and read the last couple posts and think that I accidentally clicked on the wrong link. It's amazing.

I was scared of XIII at first, too. In fact, when I was new I had no idea he was experiementing. Was he at the time he made a perverted comment I did not appreciate, I do not know (about sleeping with underaged people).

But when I realized what he was doing, I got used to it.
