[WARNING]

I'm not a native english speaker : I understand it well and listen to/read it in my everyday life, however writing it is a little bit more difficult for me... This introduction will have mistakes, I guarantee you.

[/WARNING]

I'm Arianne, 18 years old and I live in Québec, Canada. I speak french for those who wonder ! I discovered I was INTP about a week ago. Astonished by the almost perfect match of the description, I past the next days searching everything I could find about it and that's how I ended up here. I said almost because even if I like logic, I deeply hate mathematics. Back in school I couldn't stand sitting in class and listen to my teachers talking about algebra & other things I thaught I would never need in my life.

I like drawing and writing. I think my artistic side helps me expulse the emotions I usually contain. I also like reading ( mangas included ), some video games ( currently addicted to Skyrim ), eating, sleeping, breathing. I struggle with anxiety almost all the time, had and will experience hallucinations because of it. It runs in the family ( lol ? ) . Passioned by random subjects like body language, japanese & english, psychology, pandemics like plague and useless historic details.

Please be gentle :D

Welcome to the asylum. ;)

Seriously, I'm impressed with people who are bilingual. Your English is fine. We're rather uncouth here in the US, few of us learn another language unless we're forced to.

Totally get the disparity between "logic" and math; details suck. They're perfunctory and more like "busy work" for something you've already figured out.

Why the interest in Japanese?
What's your favorite historical plague?

Yaaay an asylum !

And well for learning English I only have little merit... Of course including a second language in everyday life is what truly helps going beyond it's basics, but I only started it to read manga chapters faster, as they are often translated online by English teams the week they came out in Japan.

As for the Japanese, it sounds beautiful and is truly different from every other languages, as it isn't related to any language family - like it popped out of nowhere.

My favourite plague... It's hard to choose between the Justinian one and the Black Death of middle age. Maybe the latest one. I particulary like how Poveglia Island in Italy turned very sinister at that time. Hundreds of thousands of people are estimated to be buried in pits there, as the Island served to isolate the dead and dying.

Welcome, to your new home. I'm sure we will come to appreciate your input on a number
of subjects. I, myself 'aint a native english speaker, I'm Lithuanian, so I do
share the fear of miniscule mistakes that add up when I write in English, also
I'm terrible when it comes to writing in Russian though I speak it fine.

Glad to have you in our soup. I wonder what flavor you will bring.

Edited.

Bienvenu mon petit ami. I had to Google most of that. Good job though, no? on my Googling? Right? So you have anxiety? Oh great, another basketcase, that's all we need here. I tease. Lots of people seem to have it so welcome to the asylum. I'm new here too. Your English seems very good by the way.

Thanks for your welcome messages ! I'm happy my English turned out fine.

Funny thing is I guess I would be at ease, isolated in an individual bedroom with a little bed, a desk and window bars ( if I can have my computer :< )

OptiMist -> Google translator is an ennemy ! It made you say " Welcome my boyfriend " ahah

Could you summarize your interest in body language in ten words or less? Feel free to include pictures and diagrams.

Also welcome.
